Hi again....
Now I am from a different state but I think I've told you this before. BM took the girls out of school and picked her boyfriend up from prison after a two year sentence for aggravated robbery. Our lawyer had an emergency hearing to prevent the VERY violent convicted felon from moving in with BM. Judge says that it's okay because he never committed a crime against a child. Good story, huh?
Seems like sometimes you have to wait until something bad happens!
BUT I do know if there are drugs involved you do have a fighting chance. A girlfriend of mine got visitations suspended against her ex because of this. But like I said we're in a horrible state that allows innocent little girls live with felons.....

That's why I wanted to know if anyone knew of a ""loophole" since there has been no specific incident putting SS in direct danger. But IMHO, having a drug dealer in your home... is putting a child in danger. Or even anyone that is HIGH for that matter. I know there are many different opinions on THAT particular subject, but that is my opinion.
I swear Colorado, what are these woman doing???? We have had SS so much over the past month... he misses his mom. She is out partying it up. What about YOUR SON STUPID???

Have the police ever been called to BM's residence?
Does she live with the BF? Have the police ever been called to their residence? Call and ask for any police reports for their address and see what you get.
We didn't have much luck with this, even though BM's husband beat her up in front of the kids and we had the police reports to prove it. The most CPS would do was give the family a "referral" for counseling. Like Colorado Girl said, he didn't directly hurt the children. It sucks.

I know she has had to call the cops several times... on incedents that involve him and some that don't. I am not sure how to get ahold of the police reports. I will have to get on that. I am sure that there are plenty of times that I am not even aware of as well.
Sad... I hate sending him there. They don't live together anymore. She lives with her mom and her mom would not allow it. Not that she wouldn't allow BM to date this LOSER, she would probably encourage it, she just would not allow another person to live there. That's not to say that he doesn't stay the night. I asked SS if he saw Ryan... he said "Ryan? No"... like he had forgotten all about that guy. SO that is good. That was a few weeks ago though.I should ask him again. I doubt she even knows that they are back together. Maybe a phone call to her would help, nah... it would just stir the pot.

Be happy you have stepsn, and that he is SAFE, and not with mom. Keep a detailed record of all of this, and if you feel as though their are drugs involved, call child services, and have them do a drug test, I know they will come in here and take hair samples if they think there are drugs involved, and then you have a good chance at custody

Most of the time... lately giving up at least one night a week for concerts or "otherwise". I wish we had him all of the time. Makes me nervous.

I think here in Cali they have to be 11 to choose. We have EVERYTHING documented from DAY 1!
