Pleasantly surprised and Happy to report...
DH and I both were able to attend Graduation!
There were no issues and it could not have been better!
BM and her Troll Husband wore shorts and sandals/flip flops. Maybe I'm just old school but I would think your first born's Graduation warrants some sort of nicer special occasion wear. They also ran off again..as soon as the ceremony was over and before the SK exited the building they were gone.
We stayed for about 45 minutes taking pics with friends, etc. then took him to dinner.
I can't tell you the relief I felt earlier that morning once the tickets were in hand. <3
So 1 down...1 to go! Here's to an uncommon "W" in the good guys column! <3

Sounds great! I guess it's just different expectations, I always thought there was some kind of food event after a grad. I know I hosted 5 of them for our kids. But when DH and I went to SD's son's grad, we sat tbru the ceremony, handed him a card with our $ gift and everyone departed. No "come by the house", no "we will meet you at x", nothing. Whatever.

BM had a party scheduled on Saturday for SK. Of course she didn't invite my H because why would you invite your son's father who flew up from out of state? its all about her side ONLY. She is the only parent that matters in her eyes.
