The other day FDH played me this song he heard on the radio, Phil Vassar- Don't Miss Your Life. He said it really got to him. I have to admit, I was really annoyed. FDH told me I didn't understand because I don't have kids.

Okay, I wasn't annoyed for the reason you may be thinking. Songs like this don't bother me. What annoys me is that FDH will sit there and talk about getting all choked up about this, but then when BM sends the kids away to her mother's for Easter, despite the fact that it's FDH's weekend and she didn't ask him, he doesn't say shit about it. She asked if he wanted them for Sunday evening when they returned, and he said that was kind of pointless because they'd only be with us for an hour or two then have to go back to BM's. BM said they don't have school Monday (today). FDH said he works Monday and his first job is in the opposite direction from BM's house, so it would be too much to drop off the kids Monday morning.

Tell me this doesn't make your eyebrows raise. Really FDH? Want to tell me why that song made you sad again? UGH.
