Christmas Fiasco
I know... Christmas is over, it's a brand new year... but I haven't been on the site much, so thought I'd vent about Christmas. So, for anyone that reads my blogs you've probably heard me mention how my ss8 is growing 'out' and not 'up', and how he is completely inactive and obsessed with food...
This year we celebrated Christmas on Boxing day. My BS and my SS were spending Christmas Day with the 'other' parents. As I do every year, I loaded up the kids stockings with tons of chocolates.. maybe not a great idea... but a good, cheap stocking filler. Im talking quite a bit of chocolate here. In our household, the kids must ask a parent before filling their face with junk food. Ok.. so on the 28th, (2 days later), I'm in SS's room as I'm asking him to clean it so he can fill it with his new stuff. I notice that one of his Christmas chocolate boxes is empty (it was a large solid chocolate candy cane). Upon further review I noticed ALL of his christmas chocolate was gone. I said "Uh, where is all of your Christmas chocolate?", he says "I ate it". I said "OMG all of it? Did your Dad know?" He says "NO, I ate it in bed when everyone was asleep"... My god...this kid is just going to be so unhealthy... so I tell his Dad...and even though Dad is angry, this passes with very little consequence. 2 Days later he asks his dad if he can have the Chocolate covered popcorn that a Grandparent sent (he already ate half...it's a big tin...but whatever)..so Dad says "After lunch. I'm going out, having lunch with some of my buddies. After Heather makes you lunch, you can have a little bit"... ok.. so front door closes (Husband leaving)...and I hear SS digging around in his room... I opened the door to find him hiding in his closet eating popcorn! Whatever.. I'm just so annoyed by his obsession. His Mommy Wommy came to pick him up the other day, and she says "I brought your Walmart certificate with me! Yippy doodles we can go shopping"...he says "Oh Mommy that is so great, I want to buy a cook book"... ok..so this is a very trivial blog..but this annoys me so much I just had to share it.. Happy New Years..! Bonne Anne

Oh my, I usually let them suffer the natural consequences of a belly ache when they do this at my house, but I always feel disappointed when one doesn't come lol.
Look on the bright side.
Look on the bright side. Most of the world's top chefs are heavy-set males. If he's interested in cookbooks maybe he'll go to culinary school and then you can enjoy kick-a$$ meals prepared by your professional chef SS one day.
