SD is now 17! One More Year
Yesterday was SD17 birthday. It was filled with silly gifts, a giant cookie cake, her favorite meal cooked and Tubby was invited to eat with us also. It was a great night.
DH and I were on the porch drinking a glass of wine and thinking in 365 days from this moment we can officially block BM from our life. No more annoying calls, no more wondering if she will pay CS, we will no longer be obligated to deal with her on a parental level. Everything will go through SD17 and if things get lost in translation along the way oh well not our problem anymore.
Also, BM didn't acknowledge SD17's birthday yesterday even though SD17 dropped plenty of hints through text messages. She was able to send SD17 a picture of her lunch which was a burger and fries. Mom of the year.

oh man I hear ya... we have the countdown ticker going as well too with SD being 17 and SS just turning 16. We can't wait to be BM FREEEEEE!!!!
And we also connive "special" plans to tell BM2 what we really think about her when she can't threaten DH with more CS every time he breathes wrong. }:) DH has always told loser BM1 how he feels cause she's never had SD and never will so don't have to worry about CS threats with her. }:)

We have zero communication
We have zero communication with BM now...Once SS16 got a phone at 14 and we have full custody anyway, he handles all communication with her. DH does nothing. As far as SD, he responds to her texts and that is it. BM is a non-entity in our lives...
Thankfully the only
Thankfully the only communication DH has with BM2 anymore is the nasty text messages 2 weeks prior to the first of the month "reminding" DH that she NEEEEDS a CS check. Usually looks like this
(May 10th) BM2: I'm out of CS checks, just so you know (DH usually post dates and gives her like 5 at a time so he doesn't have to deal with her)
DH: Um OK it's only May 10th. I'll get it to you June 1st.
(May 25th) BM2: ????
(May 26th) BM2: ???? CS Check??
GAWD she's so fucking annoying... go get a job bitch. We seriously can't wait to be done with this crap!
We've got 3 more years before
We've got 3 more years before SD turns 18 - then the year after that SS turns 18.
I plan to throw a monster BBQ for SO to party his ass off!!! He'll be so damn happy he'll probably wake up dancing! I also wish..wish..wish like hell I could be a fly on the wall of BM's house just to see the look of fury on her face when she realises she cannot try to control SO via the skids any more.
