BM does have the ability to have an adult conversation...so why does she so often resort to yelling, cursing, slamming down the phone, and calling the cops when things don't go her way? I am starting to think that she just gets bored and lonely and needs something to do or some attention.

the other way around. I've got a BM that's as sweet as can be when she's asking for something via email but in person is a psycho. At least via email you can just delete it and ignore. Try ignoring someone acting crazy in person

Sending nasty e-mails is foolish. I don't know if you go to court with her much but just to be safe I would document. Print hardcopies and find a way to save the e-mail that doesn't mess up the metadata.

I don't know if putting them in an e-mail folder affects the metadata or not. If you have any technically inclined friends you might find out. That can make or brake any case dealing with computers. Of course, if you want the best advice see an attorney.

If she is fool enough to use e-mail as a way of harrassing you, she deserves to be in trouble.
