Hope everyone is having a good (or as good as can be) holiday season.

Congrats to justmakingthebest on her SS acutally getting on the plane. I would have bet my paycheck that kid didn't get on the plane.  Christmas miracle I suppose.

Cheers to everyone else on surviving the next two days of stepdome.  I'm sure most will deal with exchanges and psychotic BM's and their bbaaaaaabbbbbyyyyss.

Here at chez Halo....all is good.  My two kids came yesterday and made cookies with me and any my mom.  (My parents are in my covid bubble).  Three generations making cookies.....it was fun.  They will be back tonight to celebrate christmas.

Sadly SD had to miss the cookie making since her mom lied about having to work and thus..SD spent the day at home alone rather than be here with DH and the cookie making factory.  Sad for SD.......but hey Beaver made slice and bake sugar cookies that they decorated with store bought icing.  None of which SD likes as she says..they taste like chemicals.  (****Petty Betty*** yea there Beaver I can cook and bake).

We now have zombie SD until 2 p.m. tomorrow....as she stayed up till 6 a.m. and DH picked her up at 8 a.m.  Ah..the joys of steplife.  

No worries though.....we will have prime rib, twice baked potatoes, mac and cheese (homemade none of that box stuff) sauted garlic green beans and rolls.  Then we have 7 different kinds of cookies and will have our annual chocolate fondue tonight with my kids, my parents and SD.

Christmas miracle....with DH going and getting SD during the remote learning weeks instead of letting her stay at Beavers...SD brought all her D;'s and F's up to A's and B's...even algebra...which was a solid F is now a solid B.  Its amazing what taking your medication and getting help from the resident  math tutor ( my DD ) will do for you.

Karma bus again....GWR however has 2 Ds and 3 Fs...the only A he has is in PE.  Yep....there is Beaver's stella parenting skills right there.  Hope GWR likes that job at valvoline oil change in the ghetto cause he is going to be there awhile.  But..hey Beaver was going to make GWR allllll beeetttteeeerrr once he got away from evil DH.  

So....here is to 2021...may we get out of this pandemic...(WEAR YOUR MASKS PEOPLES..PLEASE....EVEN ME AN INTROVERT IS TIRED OF BEING AT HOME).  May all our HCBMs be deer in the Karma Bus headlights...

I'm off to enjoy some Bourbon...(hello Blanton's my old friend) and start my prime rib for this nights feast.
