Week 7: I'm Pleasantly Surprised!

HadEnoughx5's picture

Tonight was my weigh in and I surprised myself Smile

I felt a little disappointed last week because I worked so hard and lost 1.8. So this week I did no real exercise but I have been busy and I lost 4.6 pounds this week! Go figure, lol! Now I'm preparing for Thanksgiving. I ordered pies the other day and made sure I did not buy myself a pecan pie. It's my favorite Sad My reasoning is next year when I have lost all my weight, I will eat a piece of pecan pie Smile

I'm thinking about what foods I want to eat, the portion size and not over do it.

Tonights classes was about being assertive and being able to say no to pesky people who want you to eat everything and to be able to ask for what you want. We also learned about the importance of exercise. Did you know 3,500 calories= 1 pound? So you have to burn off 3,500 calories to lose 1 pound :O Also every adult should exercise 150 minutes a week and only less than 5% of Americans do this.

Add that to fast food and other junk to sedentary lives, no wonder we're obese :jawdrop:

So I know I need to make some changes in that area of my life!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Congratulations! Its nice when you're in the zone and the weight comes off and it doesn't seem like a daily struggle, even though you've worked so hard to get into that zone. Good job!

It's nice to hear that you've made such great progress! I wish I could get motivated lol. One day my light bulb will go off and I will have the willpower I need. Just not right now.

Keep up the good work! I'll live vicariously through you! Smile

I told you. The exercise makes muscle that weighs more and you lose less in the beginning. You're doing so great. You have inspired me to try to get back on the wagon so to speak. My first weigh in is tomorrow.

Awesome job so far!

Glad you're joining me in the journey but most of all, you're taking care of you. Because in the end these skids will move on with their lives and they are so not worth losing our health over them.

Congratulations! And always celebrate any weightloss achievement. No matter how small

Pecan Pie is the worst pie you can have, loaded with calories. For me if I eat one piece, I'll eat the whole damn pie. Better for me to keep my weakness's outside the house!
