that so many of the BM's we have to deal with have so many problems with addiction. I am not sure if some of us just associate them with drugs or substance abuse, but it is shocking to most of the posts talk about BM's having drug problems. There should def be a special site, just for SP, where we can all go and exchange stories about BM's drug problems. SD's BM is addicted to meth, prescription pills, and god knows what else; she was arrested on 2 occasion because she was in a "mobile meth lab"? What the hell is that?

BM has drug problems too...using and selling. She thinks she's such a badass, but she's not. She has neglected SD7 and put SD into dangerous situations. Hell, we haven't even heard from BM in a while. Last time SD saw BM, BM was running around naked and intoxicated. We picked SD up from Protective custody. SD now says she hates her mom and never wants to see her again.

Wow - this is quite the theme you've got going here. BM went to rehab last year for crack, meth, coke, and alcohol. We laugh when SD17 says that she just got her one year sober chip. We know she drinks with the skids when they visit(SD17 and SS20)and smokes pot at the very least. We have the skids full-time and BM sees them only periodically, making sure her kids don't interfere with partying with her drug dealer live in boyfriend. Best part is that her wealthy parents continue to fund her lifestyle.

Saddest part is that the skids think that it's normal - that all moms behave this way. I'm puzzled that they're not even embarassed about it....SD17 will being her friends over to drink with Mom.

She still continues to try to undermine our relationship with the skids,tho. What a loser.

Possible there are more concentrated posts about drug use in the "unfit parent" Forum. I have never checked it out alhough BM does have her issues with percription drugs (and a history of illegal).

BM refuses to admit that she has a problem and says that she is clean, but continues to cal DH talking some crazy stuff. She calls when she is sober and DH can understand what she is saying and makes some sense other times she rambles about gosh know what. We have been told, by SD, that BM has left her and her 6 yo HS, with strangers while mommy went off with some strange man. She told us this during the holiday's and that is when we decided SD was going to be sent away with her sister to her grandmother's house to be away from their BM. We wanted to bring SD with us then, but she didn't want to leave her sister and so we decided not to inflict any more stress on her.

BM went to jail, caught in a mobile meth lab (still not sure what this is) and was in for 8 months. When she got out, it took her 4 months to call us to ask about SD, and then another 3 months to as if she could see her. Lawyer advices against SD seeing her BM, but therapists says otherwise. We are so conflicted. We know that SD needs to see BM, but we don't want to expose her to BM & her shit anymore. Especially since we think she is using again, we don't know what she will tell. SD believes ANYTHING BM tells her, so BM was in "the hospital recovering from kidney surgery" while she was in jail!!! ROTFLMAO, KIDNEY SURGERY????!!!
