Not Venting, Just Slightly Annoyed...Again.
SD9 lost a school book a week ago and yesterday the school finally sent a "bill" to us for replacement. Yeah, I know she's only nine and I know kids do this all the time. But, where I'm annoyed is lazy BM never has to deal with any of this shit. BM is $4,600 behind in her tiny monthly CO support. SD just spent her first visit in 3 yrs with her this summer, during which time BM promised to buy SD's school clothes. SD came back with only a couple of inappropriate t-shirts and a pair of pants. BM has never paid a dime toward medical/dental bills that are CO'd to be split 50/50. BM doesn't have to participate or pay for school fundraisers or any activities. On and on it goes...and now SD, in her ever-irresponsible manner, has created another expense for us.
I want DH to send the bill to BM, not so much for the money, but to show BM an example of the never-ending shit we deal with while she sits around worrying about her next date. Every night of ours consists of drama and problems with SD while loser BM does nothing for her. BM's life is never inconvenienced while ours is a nightmare.

I agree with you, its bullshit!! SD15 lives with us fulltime. BM does not pay child support because she is on welfare, food stamps and gets housing. We pay for every single thing. DH spent about $400 on new school clothes for SD and SD asked for a new backpack. We told her to ask BM since she pays for nothing at all for this kid. BM said ok and when it came down to do it she said she didn't have the money so BM's mother had to buy it. BIL saw her at the bar that night paying her drug dealer!! I am so sick of it. She walked away from this kid and here I am raising her. BM is at a bar every single night while I am home taking care of her kid!! Must be nice!! She doesn't even buy her birthday presents or Christmas presents. YOu would never even know she was her kid!!

Great idea if this kid was normal! DH has taken prized possessions before and SD was completely satisfied with the loss, as long as she didn't have to get off her lazy ass.
She has zero intention of earning jack or shit! lol

Whenever anything like this happens, DH takes the money off NPD BM's CS. However, as BM is supposed to be paying you - can't do this, sadly.
