We've talked about SDs Skanky Bathroom Habits... no how about Step Sons....

I'm about ready to tell SS12 that he needs to start sitting down when he pees! He can't seem to hit the target. Plus he leaves the seat up! Sad I know it's a common male thing... growing up we had a small bathroom with an electric baseboard heater next to the toilet.. couldn't run the heat because it would make the room smell like piss.. not sure if it was my brother or my dad causing that issue though.. (maybe both)

SS is the same. Can't hit the target if his life depended on it. SS14 and BS16 share a bathroom. Before SS moved in, it was hardly ever dirty. Now, it needs cleaning every weekend after SS is over. BS is gone on the weekends so I know it's SS that is making the mess.

condoms on the floor.

Condoms from Masturbation on the floor.. in a common area of the house.. from his foot in the morning.
DH handled that one with the quickness. SS's are teens and SD's are still pretty young. AAAnd.. that's just gross.

Yeah.. DH and I did laugh about it after they were all off to school but it was NOT what I wanted to see at 5:30 in the morning.. woke me right up. SS tried to deny it at first but the condom wrapper had fallen off of his bed and was sitting on the floor in his room sooo..

I once found SS's used condom.

We have a split level house. His bedroom was in the bottom half/basement.

I was outside watering the plants and I see in the window sill of his bedroom, just a condom laying there. I FREAKED out.

I guess he had some girl over (even though he was not allowed to) and they had sex and he just put the condom on the floor. Then the next day or so, my niece and our friends son (both teenagers) had been over (we had people over for a cook out) and they went into SS's room together (door open) and he had forgotten about the condom and just picked it up real quick and put it on the windowsill.

Gross. He couldnt just put it in the bathroom trash?

The only upside- he was at least using a condom.

I don't know if they're magically incapable of getting it inside the bowl or what but it pisses (ha!) me off! There is ALWAYS pee in front of the toilet and running down the outside of it! When it's just us home it isn't an issue so clearly DH can aim. I make a lot of loud comments about it and "blame DH" because if I told skid to actually get it in the toilet that would be mean of me to "assume it's him". Yes, because girls often do that. :? I know it's him because he's the only one it COULD be but "blaming" DH makes me sound less mean and I still get to say what I think.

And one should always close the lid before flushing.

And don't eat birthday cake if someone has blown out candles on it. Because of spit, not pee.

You'd think they'd manage to hit the spot with such a large target and such a small hose Wink

I remember seeing actual targets in a public toilet once - put there to help their male customers in "hitting the spot". It worked as well, gave them something definite to aim for...

I tell the skids to step up closer, it isn't as long as you think it is. They still get pee all over the place. SS11 will sit down to pee at night and I have found in the morning that the basket full of towels are covered in pee. At least around the toilet can be washed easily, I made DH wash the towels. I have started making them clean the bathroom right before they go home on Sunday nights. I stand over them to make sure it is done. They make the mess, they can pick it up before they go home. I am NOT the maid!

I personally cannot imagine what BM's bathroom looks like, they do not even understand that toothbrushes go in the holder and toothpaste has a cover, let alone the peeing on the floor/wall/shower curtain/ toilet seat. She is not a cleaner.

Agree with your toilet design or better yet, they need to just sit. I have never understood why men pee standing up into a toilet that is only, on average, 14 inches tall. How does that make sense? It's gross.

LOL. Since BS-12+ has been out of diapers, the rule has been that he "sits at home." I don't care if he stands at his Dad's or grandparents or school or the movies ... but at home he sits. I caught him once after a visit with Dad, standing, leaning back, looking at himself in the mirror and peeing a perfect arc on the walls. I made him clean it up. That was the last time we've had that issue.
