I feel like I have gone into the witness protection program. New name, new picture- a whole new me!!!!

It's been about a year since I have been on ST. A lot has changed. My Skids moved out of state about 18 hours away from us by car and now we get them on holidays and 7 weeks in the summer. They are here right now for spring break. We used to have them about 50/50 and it was a big adjustment having them gone. My DH went through a pretty deep depression however it was good for him and I to really start working on our marriage and get at the root of the problems that we had been having for so long. We went to a fertility specialist and I underwent a tubal ligation with the hope that they could fix a blockage that I had. Unfortunately they ended up having to take the tube and found that my other tube never fully developed which is a defect from birth, along with that the good news kept pouring in** (sarcastic) I have a unicornate uterus which means that I only have a little less than half the size of a normal size uterus which can cause miscarriage, pre-term births, sometimes even death to myself and the child. Needless to say I went into a deep depression. I finally decided that it was meant for me to become a Mom through adoption, so me and DH have been pursuing that unsuccessfully so far. It is extremely expensive, I wish that babies could just fall out of the sky when you want one, but there are a ton of hoops to jump through.
Also my parents sold their house in Wyoming and have moved into the basement of our house with me and my husband while they get situated with jobs here. They have been living with us about 6 1/2 months and I am losing my mind. I want to help them b/c they are my parents but we haven't always had the best relationship. Since I got married we seemed to be getting a lot closer and they seemed like they had really started to change and become more mellow and loving but I am starting to think that distance was the key to that!
