Sure hoping this run of good court results continues into next week

Sure hoping this run of good court results continues into next week. Ding Dong had me served last August with contempt charges. You are more than welcome to read my blog about my wonderful ex. To make a long story short he gave me 3 days notice for his summer vacation when it was suppose to be 30 days. I denied him those days as I had already spent over $200.00 on church camp fees for that time. Ding Dong has a bad habit of not following the CO and I was tired of it and put my foot down. He did not like that and in turn wants me charged with contempt.

OK, so how many of you are checking in almost hourly this morning

OK, so how many of you are checking in almost hourly this morning to look for an update from Former AAA? I keep thinking she should be dropping in at anytime. Then I realize there may be issues to deal with no matter how well court went today.

I also find myself looking for updates from Ommy as well. We haven't heard how well it went when they got the girls last night.

Praying for good out comes for both of these ladies and their families.

This is just a short update on Ding Dong and his summer vacation. He had been threatening me that he was going to keep the girls after his normal visitation time last weekend in order to get his summer time used. I had the backing of the State's Attorney if I needed it as the SA told me he would make sure the girls came back. Well, low and behold Ding Dong actually did the right thing and brought them back on his own. He was even a half hour early!

Well it has been an interesting weekend around here to say the least. Since Ding Dong sent me his letter telling me he was getting the girls for his 2 weeks of summer time with only 3 days notice it has been one issue after another. Let's take one issue at a time shall we?

1). Finally got a call back from my attorney who assured me I was in the clear for telling Ex no. He is the one who did not follow the guidelines for his vacation time. He also told me to get a written copy of the threatening voicemail he left in case we need it for court.

First off, I want to say thank you to all of you for helping me a better stepmom to my SD. I am learning so much by reading here each day. I'm also very thankful I do not have to deal with BM and never will. I think that is a big help in keeping our home on an even keel. I'm also working very hard on trying to make sure I'm not the kind of BM that a lot of your nightmares are made of.
