OK so skids come for their visit, we pick them up at the airport, go to baggage claim to get their suitcases, they are staying 2 weeks, and SD10 has a freaking backpack!!!!! that's it!!!!??? Then we get home come to find out she packed ALL BY HERSELF?!?!?! again WTF??? she is 10!!!!! I ask do you have PJ's? No.. Do you have warm clothes? No! No shampoo etc... I bite me lip walk away! I AM NOT BUYING ANY CLOTHES!!!! The court order says they must come with what they need for their trip!!! Because we pay for 1/2 of all their clothes that stay at BM's house. I'm so pissed!!! Will DH do a goddamn thing about it?!?!?! f*** NO!!! Man this is so much crap!!!! Just had to get this off my chest!!! Thank you!

I recommend a trip to Goodwill for temporary clothes. On your way to drop her off at the airport to return home yuo can drop a bag of cloths in the Goodwill donation box.

Get the nicest stuff you can at Goodwill or if a thrift store is out of the question go for a $100 trip to Marshals, TJ Maxx or Ross. Have he wash her clothes every evening so she has clean stuff in the AM.

If I was your DH I would climb the X's ass over this kind of crap.

Same shit happens here. We made a little room in dd's closet for them. So next time Jabba says sd needs such and such. Fine. We will buy it AND hang it here! I'm tired of being embarrassed to be seen in public w/sd's! The fact that their hair is never washed OR brushed is bad enough! Then she sends them to us with the oldest ugliest rags they own! They look like third world refugees. Sad.

BM and SD did this to us once, when SD was about 13 (old enough to pack her own bag imo). We bought her like 2 outfits at Target she had to wear over and over. Never happened again!!

Also once she came in January with NO COAT - from northern state! I loaned her mine, and I think that is the one she dropped in the flooded public restroom. I made DH take and pay to clean it and never, ever, loaned her my stuff again!!!

So it is really a stupid move on BM's part, because SD is the one to suffer!!!!! sorry dear

Good will or consignment shopping...

My DH gets SD clothes from consignment shops and we have her every other weekend...

No I am not buying anything. She has to wear what she brought and that's all. If she has any dirty clothes DD or someone other than me will wash it. I am putting my foot down on this shit right out of the gate. BM signed a court order stating that they will come with appropriate clothing for their visits. So this will be noted this time if it happens again I will take evil bitch back to court so fast her head will spin. We have the money to do so I know she does not! She does not want to push me!!!!
