BM's crazy family and how they tried to ruin Christmas
The custody arrangement for Christmas is that the week up to and including Christmas Day and on into noon on the 26th, one parent has SD. On the 26th at noon until school resumes after New Year’s Day, the other parent has SD. SD gets two Christmases, one on the day, and then one at noonish on the 26th when she comes to the other parent’s house. Well, this year, we get the first half, since we had the second half last year.
Last night, SD told us that BM wanted to know if it was okay if her grandma (BM’s mom) could send a gift over to our house. So, we said that we thought that it’d be more appropriate for SD to get gifts from her mom’s side of the family at her mom’s house, and she said she’d tell her mom when she called. So, apparently, BM told SD that the package was actually already on its way.
Two things here: It’s against the divorce decree, and with really good reason, for one parent to communicate with another parent through SD. Also, who in the blue fuck thinks that is even remotely appropriate?! So then SO sent BM an email pointing out that she shouldn’t use SD as a messenger and also that she needs to tell her family not to send stuff to our house, and that we'd be forwarding along any packages received from BM's family. BM responded by acting like she didn't understand why it wasn't appropriate. What a stupid cow.

Seriously, this is not a
Seriously, this is not a biggie. Just tell SD that she can take the gift back to her mother's place. Although would it REALLY destroy your Christmas for the child to open one extra gift? Really? Or is Christmas much more territorial than I thought it was?
Now if BMs family attempts to say you stole the gift and you never gave it to SD then you have a good reason to not accept gifts from that side of the family.
Yeah, it's pretty
Yeah, it's pretty territorial. BM's mom has already called CPS on BM's behalf on SO, so I'd rather she not send anything to our home.
Makes no since why Bm would
Makes no since why Bm would do that unless the gift was going to one up anything you could buy SD and she knows it or something that she knows ya'll would disagree with her having. I question BM motive in this????? If the co says that sd can't be a go between then BM was wrong there also. Thats just another way of trying to make SD Christmas all about Bm and her family.
If that happened here she
If that happened here she would be doing it as a way of inserting herself into our Christmas time. My bm is already blowing up email trying to change the CO schedule wanting to take her on our time
