I'm in love....
Well, we finally made the trip to see CTBB's new baby, 4 months old. DDs 13 and 20, DH and I took a long weekend and drove up. (11 hrs 1 way). HE IS THE CUTEST LITTLE THING EVER. I couldn't put him down or stop kissing his little perfect head. CTBB was 6 when I met DH, it took me some time to have real affection for the fat little guy (he's in great shape now, at 36 lol), but it was instant love with lilguy. I actually teared up when we were leaving! I never, EVER cry, maybe once a year. Oh and did I tell you guys CTBB has a surly SS14? Soooo funny! Boy, do I love the feeling of being a G-ma. He's an angel. And to think I was dissapointed when they told me they were having a boy! I thought I wanted a girl. He's perfect.

Thank you! Side note: I was told by MIL and DH not to refer to myself as "G-ma", so Whorebag wouldn't get her fee fees hurt. (as you know BM is my SIL and CTBB is really DH's nephew)Joke's on her DH and I already have decided to be called our ethnic names for G-ma and G-pa, and that's what CTBB was calling us in reference to Lilguy! I hate it that I did all the work (& so did MIL in truth) and it's always "Oh, don't step on Whorebags' toes"! What about MY toes? Sheesh. I'm not even going to think about that tho because I'm so in love. And yes, they're very good about pictures- CTBB even texts me the really cute ones!

This isn't the first post if seen this on and I don't get it. Why would it be an problem to have more than one person called grandma? What's the deal with the competition over the name? I called both of my grandmothers "grandma". I didn't need some special name to differentiate between who was who. An aunt is still an aunt even if its just through marriage....and uncle is still called uncle with no blood tie....so why is this grandma title to fiercely defended?
That's great that you were able to find a way to still be called grandma....even if its in another language.
Thank you! Yea, I don't get
Thank you! Yea, I don't get it either about the names. Just more people to love on the kid, WHO CARES??
