SS says he's saving money to finally move out... but I Know better!
SS's been picking up extra jobs here and there, getting paid cash, and says he's saving his money so that he and G/F and the baby can (finally) move out on their own... he also claims that once her IRS Refund check comes in, they're going to cash it and give us the money, to pay us back for the expenses of living rent free for the last two years or so....
Well, May is nearly over and I know that her taxes were filed before the April 15 deadline, I think that my prediction (to myself, I didn't say a word to The Mister) has come true... we won't see a dime of the IRS refund.
I also know (because SS is an idiot) that SS is not saving any money, at least not in the bank... he keeps saying that he's putting the money in the bank, but then he just left his most recent bank statement on the dining room table again (yeah, I look at them when he leaves them out)
The balance at the end of the statement was less than $25
How is that saving money to move out?
I am doing what I can to disengage... I have given the Mister my ultimatum for when they have to go... I don't know if I should keep my mouth shut about the bank statements and his son's proclamatinos of saving money
part of me wants to say something... part of me says "whatever, they have almost exactly one more year, if they don't have the $$ at that time, then it's not my problem, either they go or I do"
(but of course, you know, I really don't want to go, I REALLY want them to just move out and do the right thing and support themselves)

That is an excellent idea sap. The OP really needs to get her DH to do this.

We asked for it before, and they were too "broke" now that he's apparently making an extra $100 or more every week, I don't see the reason why they can't cough up the dough!
