Holidays not so great with skids
Skids are ruining my Thanksgiving. I cant even stand to be at my house to get ready for Thanksgiving so i leave all day til bedtime. My bios are coming from out of town and after our thansgiving fiesta the bios and i are all going to stay with my parents for the wknd. No way the skids are ruing my time with my boys. Havent seen my oldest in 6 months. Longest time ever.
Cant wait to go away for Christmas. DH aint gonna like it but Im not dealing with this shit for the holidays again. The kids think they rule the roost and are so entitled. The little ones are getting better but how do I change a 16 year old. She's been quiet lately, thought maybe she changed last night she told Daddy she's been holding it in and cant take it anymore. Hope this is teenage behavior and not her personality as she gets older. She thought she was the queen til the Queen Stepmonster moved in.

She rules the roost? Then
She rules the roost? Then put her in charge of the whole day, the whole meal, everything. I'd find some community service dinner somewhere in your town to help work on. Giving people what they want can be a great learning experience.
Some will say its teenage behavior but any good parent would shut it down and limit it from spilling over to the rest of the house. IMO. I raised 3 BDs so far, 1 more to go but she is 9. She needs a dose of reality from her dad.
She is no longer ruling the
She is no longer ruling the roost, she thought she ruled the roost, which is the problem. She resents me since I turned Disney dad into a real father. I made him read and research effective parenting and realize that Disney dads have assholes for kids. This is my first Thanksgiving i am hosting. I have my family & my inlaws. I cant let her ruin it but the joy of disengaging is she will not be able to get her driver's license on time cuz daddy is working and im done with her attitude
she told Daddy she's been
Aw, that’s cute. She can’t take it anymore?
Is this some sort of forewarning she’s going to act out at Thanksgiving? A threat?
Either way, at least now you’re prepared to be extra, EXTRA firm with her, when it comes to showing her where she falls in line within the family unit - especially at gathering where other people will be present.
You’re the head female of your house. Not her.
Oh yes, a threat. If she
Oh yes, a threat. If she wants to embarrass herself at Thanksgiving go ahead. She didn't get to have a school night sleep over last week at 9pm! 9pm she wanted her sister to take a 20 minute ride to pick up BFF. Thats almost an hour round trip with a stop for coffee, ice cream whatever princess and BFF desire.
After the sleepover, I would have had to take an hour round trip to drive the bitches to school. School is too far and I feel bad for that, but she can take the bus but not with BFF. I called up Daddy and said no way. He told her no. She had a fit. Told him just wait til he wants something. Well just wait bitch (things have gotten worse since my original post even though I havent seen her), Im going to do everything in my power to postpone her getting her drivers license.
PS Is it inappropriate to tell a 16 yr old to keep her fucking mouth shut
