BM makes me a prophet

ChiefGrownup's picture

This morning we awake to 2 texts from BM.

Text One: "Taking sd15 to Urgent Care right now. Her throat feels bad and she feels like she's going to cough and sneeze."

Text Two: "False alarm. SD15 says she's fine, it was just a little hay fever from the cats yesterday."

This is the same woman who for the last 48 hours was whining to my husband that she didn't know what to do "if" ss13's tube of ringworm ointment ran out, she couldn't possibly drive to the pharmacy herself, she didn't know how, what would she do with ss13, she didn't think she had any insurance cards, she needed more "information." Blah blah blah.

Now to quote myself less than 24 hours ago:

"Exactly what does this woman do when she takes them to Urgent Care every other week because one of'em looked like they were thinking about sneezing?"

I feel like Nostradamus--I can predict the future with pitch perfect accuracy.

My original comment was from yesterday's post on ST and this morning she made it true. Maybe you thought I was using the old hyperbole but nooooooo.

BM was ready to miss work (she has an early shift) and deal with SS13 however in order to go to Urgent Care because sd15 was THINKING about sneezing. All her insurance card and child care and comprehension of medicine and the health care system melted away in the space of one little almost but not really tickle in the girl's nose. Or throat. Or somewhere. IT WAS SOMEWHERE I TELL YOU!!!

Urgent Care because "she feels like she's going to cough and sneeze"???? WTF. Let me guess.. she either gets free government insurance OR your DH has skids on his insurance so all of these little sniffle emergencies don't cost her a penny?

That's what our BM thought too. DSO was getting the free Medicaid, but as his income went up, he was bumped to a CHiPS plan where there are co-pays. BM didn't believe him and kept taking SD to ER for stupid shit instead of our regular place that is cheaper.

At least the hospital sent those bills to her and not DSO.

I actually don't know what the hell's wrong with her. She takes them in for this all the time and she absolutely goes nuts on my dh if he lets them get a bit of sun. But for the last month she has been letting ss13 rot away with ringworm and fighting dh tooth and nail as he tries to get the boy cured. I get those whirly-swirly cartoon eyes just thinking about it.

I can't believe how exact you were in your prediction! That's too funny!

Our BM took poor widdle SD11 to the doctor once last year for a hang nail!

Thank you, ma'am! Yes, if it weren't for the humor what would we poor sms do?

Hangnail!!!! Hahaha!

Did she stay at a Holiday Inn Express? That would explain it all.

My DSO gave BM an extra insurance card. I wasn't thrilled about it but same shit....SD hurt her toe, SD is having a heart attack (pulled muscle) until he gave in and gave her one. Oh well, I look at it as 'Bearcub doesn't have to always be the one to take SD to doctors, BMs job finally'.

We've been married for 2 years I had never once heard her complain about insurance card issues before. I didn't know the details of their insurance arrangement on the skids and didn't care.

She took them in so often I figured she must have her own cards one way or another. It wasn't until she was looking for excuses not to put ringworm ointment on ss13 that she suddenly developed Insurance Card Deficiency.

I read he is autistic right and 13 right? I get that maybe she doesn't want to invade his privacies, but couldn't she just teach him to do it and oversee proper application?

SD had ringworm once (this was when DSO had EOW) and after I stated she couldn't come for the weekend bc I had my grandbaby there, it miraculously disappeared.

Dayum, that's the strategy we are resorting to -- no visitation at our house until it's cleared up! Which it would have been cleared up 2 weeks ago if she would have put the medicine on at her house during her time like we did at our house.

Your idea about the adolescent's privacy is a good one. However, the ringworm is BETWEEN THE BOY'S FINGERS!!!! There's no privacy or sensitivity involved! NONE! He's perfectly compliant, he can do it himself, all she has to do is hand him the damn tube 3 times a day!

Yet she'd rather have his ringwormy hands touching everything all over her apartment including her own self and her other child and her DOG than do this one simple thing 3 times a day!

DH got an extra tube for the school so now they will do it at least once a day and all she has to do is 2x day now. For heaven's sake!!!

Wow! What is wrong with these people! BM took SS to the ER one time because his nipples were swollen. The ER doc told her he was just going through puberty and to take the poor kid home. lol

DaizyDuke's picture

Oh my land!!! that is hilarious!
... and she actually TOLD your DH this!!!??

ChiefGrownup's picture

The ER? OMG, no wonder people bleed to death in ERs. They are waiting for these stupid BMs to clear out with non emergencies like this. They should have fined her.

bearcub25's picture

That would be a good solution. Too many ppl wasting their time of stupid shit.

ChiefGrownup's picture

Hahaha! you really made my laugh out loud!

We can form a StepMoms Psychic and Prophet Society and hire ourselves out for pro-FIT!!

ChiefGrownup's picture

Blechityblechblechblecccchhhhhh!!!!

Makes you wonder what is crawling all over these stupid bms themselves that they do not recoil from these infections? Eeeeeek!

O.M.G.

"The stepmom apologizes" -- it's always the stepmom who is reasonable even to the outside world. This leaves me a bit dizzy. After living in a house for 2 years where I'm often made to feel like I'm UNreasonable and too demanding and have "too high expectations" it will take me a bit to absorb this info. OMG
