O/T Rude People

DH and I went out with friends tonight. We went and had a nice dinner and then went to Target to pick up some white elephant gifts for DH's work Christmas party tomorrow. One of our friends has a degenerative bone disease, so he fractures easily and he fractured his hip last week, so he walks slowly and with a limp. Me being 7.5 months pregnant, I also walk slow due to a huge baby bump and sciatic nerve pain.

So we get to Target and we cross the road between the parking lot and the store, not super slow, but as fast as we can. It is clear that our friend is injured/disabled and that I am very pregnant and struggling to be quick. This small Buick Encore keeps inching toward us, clearly trying to push us along. She was not stopping. When we get fully across the road, some middle-aged, heavier-set Karen rolls down the car window and yells "Get your asses out of the f***ing road!" and she flips us off. We were stunned. It wasn't like we were intentionally being slow or dilly dallying in the street. What is wrong with people?!

So to the rude lady in the Buick Encore - MERRY CHRISTMAS and I hope whatever stick you have so far up your ass dislodges and you find some relief and maybe a little kindness!

That was beyond rude.  What an entitled selfish biatch!  My mom uses a walker and getting in and out of stores or doctors offices can be slow, painfully so.  My experience is that people we encounter are either very kind or very unkind. The unkind don't realize that if they are really lucky they will be elderly and slow moving someday.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. People are so mean these days. I do my best to spread kindness and goodness throughout my day. I live it purposefully and intentionally LOOK for ways to spread good.

A friend of mine says there are two kinds of people: the disabled and the temporarily non-disabled. If we live long enough we will also become disabled. And she's right.

My DH has developed mobility issues in the last year or so, and now he walks with a cane. Sometimes VERY slowly. We've had one rude encounter recently, but most people are very kind.

Your rude lady will get hers someday, you can be sure of that.

I like your friend's logic because it's true. I fully believe karma will catch up with Buick lady.

I'm sorry what a jerk!  But I will say I feel sorry for people named Brandon or Karen at this point.

Meryy Flipping Christmas lady!   Beyond rude.

This boils me. Obviously this biatch has no tolerance for disabled and pregnant. Then to flip you off. Crappy.

Unhappy miserable people deserve a big smile and then wished MERRY CHRISTMAS, and here are some sugar cookies, laced with exlax. So sorry the bathroom is out of service   ;)

But, it's unkind to the many super nice Karens I know to refer to rude people as "Karen." I don't know what your first name is, but imagine if it turned into being used all the time in this derogatory way. Thanks for understanding.
