need some help with CS
I haven't been here for a while but I'll keep it short:
I'll be officially divorced next week wednesday. All the years (10) that I've been with DH I was the one who pushed him to pay CS to his ex; not just because he is obligated to do so but also so that they would shut up and stop whining about every little stupid thing.
Now that I don't give a damn no more about whether he pays them or not he started to slack already. He owes his ex a lot of CS and I have to say if it wasn't for me pushing him to do so he would owe them even more.
My salariy is to cover all the bills and I won't have any money left from it. DH is suppose to pay half of our loans back to me plus CS.
I fear that I'll end up just like his ex; having to beg and wait till he finally thinks he should pay up.
Some people think I should just stick around with him so I can be sure to get my money but I'll just feel like a hooker. Any suggestions ????

Have you got it all court ordered?
If you have it all court ordered that he needs to pay CS plus the 1/2 your loans back to you then you can have the state garnish his paychecks.
Don't deal with him directly just have the state do it and you'll get your money every month. We had to do that with BM and the bitch only pays $130/month.
Once it is in a court order...
You can go back to court (after a few months of lapse of payment) and receive a warrant for his arrest. This should shake his little butt up. Then once they throw him in jail he will have to pay so much (ordered by court) to be able to get out of jail. THEN, have them garnish his wages.
I'm being really mean, aren't I?
Take care,
Anne
Sometimes you have to test the limits to show you're not a doormat.
Go get a court order and
Go get a court order and have child support enforcement garnish it from his pay. He won't have any choice.
"I child proofed my whole house, but they STILL get in!"
I agree with all the other
I agree with all the other comments. Go to court and it get taken directly from his paychecks. He'll have no choice but to pay you.
LET STATE DO IT!
I agree with all other, but from my own experience, let the state do it instead of having a private attorney do it. All you will do is send both the attorneys kids to a fancy college! The state is more effective, albeit slower, but alot less money. Also, once the government is involved they will go from state to state for him, etc...if he tries to quit his job and go to another state or just work under the table. They will HOUND HIM. Also, it sounds like you feel a little guilty. DO NOT! If he has any problem with it, just mention to him how much easier it is on him if the state garnishes his wages then he can never be accused of not paying, etc...If he has a problem with it, it will be because he was not intending on paying crap to begin with. And remember this, a leopard does not change his spots girl! Truth, so if he was going to not pay his first wife, he will try to not pay you. Its sooo sad because they all forget that the CHILDREN in the end are always the ones who really pay the big price and they are equally both your responsibility. Ex's like to forget that one real easy.
