Help
OK, I need help! My future stepdaughter, who is 14 spent the weekend here and she continually tried to bait me to get something going. Finally this morning she did. And when I reacted she demanded to go home, which was fine with me. But she did cause a fight between her father and me. I'm too old for this stuff, and when I told her that she couldn't use the "F" word in my house she informed she go do as she liked because it was her father's house and he paid the bills!! How do other's deal with this stuff.

United Front
Well, you can't solve this problem on your own. Her father is going to have to support you. You and her father are going to have to agree on the rules of the house (no matter whose house it is!).
When I have issues with my stepson my husband will back me up (most of the time). We have family meetings to make sure everybody is on the same page(after my husband and I have discussed the issue in question).
Bottom line is, you and her father must present a united front.
I hope this helps.

Dawn is right
This is so important and when a kid is constantly gigging you, whether it is a step kid or birth kid, your spouse has to back you up. A child will only dish out what is tolerated.
Hang in there.

Your DH has to back you up.
Your DH has to back you up. Once she sees he will not allow SD to treat you badly she will straighten up. However, all teenage girls are difficult so that just comes with the territory. Best of luck!
Haha
Yes I've had this fight with my SD17 many a time. Your SD just trying to show you she got all the control. Although she may not and that she higher and mightier then you are. As if to say your just here because my father let's you stay here. The other one my dad loves me more than you. Just dont take it to heart ingore it the thing with teenage SD they think the whole world revolves around them. As long as DH backs you up. States your place in the household as his wife and lady of the house. Your SD will just go sulk in her room. And most likely quietly plot against you. It what they do. Teenage SD are always so much fun *wacko*
