Bratty's Christmas vs My Christmas
So...after the recent drama around Bratty's visit that never happened (due their bringing their 'emotional support friend' who was deadly allergic to cats - and we have two cats - so yay, visit never happened LOL) - here is how Bratty spent their Christmas.
They went to their Aunt's house, who posted photos on social media. There was Bratty but still no Nutter GF there? I get confused since they keep saying they are 'partners' but Nutter GF did not come down with Bratty for their friends funeral. Also, no visit with Nutter GF to Nutter's family for the holidays they have all met before a couple of times)? I wonder if the family were like this 'friend' is a freeloader - but I don't know. It just seems strange since Nutter seems to not be present in a real 'partner' role. Also, last year we got a 'card' with a photo of Bratty, Nutter and the dog posing. Like Bratty was playing house. This year - no such card. Not even a gift for DH (of course - entitled brat she is). He didn't even get a 'Merry Christmas' text. There was suppposed to be a family zoom call, but we couldn't make it because our Christmas Day plans....
...were to go to a friends house who made the best prime rib EVER. Really we pigged out, drank nice wine, and enjoyed good company.
So...still not sure what is up with Bratty and Nutter but my feeling is this 'partnership' may not be long for the tooth - especially once Nutter realizes Bratty may not get into 'med school' as they have been saying they will all along.
We'll see...

Does Nutter GF have family money or job where she's helping support Bratty?
My thoughts come from this. DH's oldest son was madly in love with a girl when they lived overseas. Her family had money and yes, DH was consider afluent in society due to his overseas position but I think it was also evident to the girl's parents that DH would not be supporting or giving his son a free ride life. They eventually convinced their daughter to loose the mooch.
And just this year, same thing happened to his youngest daughter, another mooching bum. She met a girl from a VERY wealthy family. Not sure who was footing the bill for the apartment and living expenses because Moocher2 daughter never worked. Well, lo and behold,DH finally tells me they broke up and apparently the parents of GF were sick of supporting DHs daughter.
If not NutterGF's family, maybe Nutter herself????
Nutter has a great job
at a major tech company. Probably making around $150K+. So - yes I do think Bratty has latched onto to Nutter to mooch.
My guess is initially Bratty told Nutter they are going 'back to school' for 'pre-med' to become a doctor. And if Nutter supported Bratty, then once Bratty became a doctor Nutter could quit and do the 'arts and crafts' projects they really enjoy.
So, now that Bratty seems to have barely survived the 'pre-med' classes (same as last time - average grades. B, C's only) - Nutter may be considering an exit once their lease is up next August??? Until then I expect they will still live together - but don't know how much of Nutter we'll see anymore. Too bad, because even though Nutter was, well, a nut - they were a good kid and did work a real job, unlike Bratty.
But - who cares. We had damn flawless prime rib for Christmas
Oh and yes Nutters family has money...
Not like Bill Gates money - but good money. Nutter's dad is - wait for it - a doctor LOL.
But, seems like Nutter is mostly on their own financially, except for some family vacations/ visits home that parents might be paying for, but not sure. As mentioned, Nutter has a great job so maybe not and they are paying their own way for everything.
My SIL’s DH is an DO.
Like Bratty, he could not get into a US Med school so he got into Med school in Grenada on a provisional acceptance. He had to complete a MS degree in Kinesiology (Sp?) before he could start his Med school studies. He did graduate, passed his Medical Boards and has been practicing for about 15 years.
To get his insane school loans forgiven he has worked in rural locations for much of his career. He is close to having his debt paid off my the program he entered after graduating.

The lack of card, and not coming to the funeral is a key indicator.
You are probably right Nutter has come to realize that Bratty aint all that, and definitely not a Dr in training material.

The only chance Bratty has of becoming a doctor is to apply to med school in the deepest backwaters of the planet. Even then, they may not accept her.
The only reason Goofy and Little Idiot are still together is they are both the same, mooches. Anyone successful would have dropped her like a hot potato. Even so, Goofy seems to occasionally tire of her.
Successful people typically aren't interested in supporting mooches.
I don't know... My XH is
I don't know... My XH is extremely driven and successful. When we split, he immediately allowed his mistress to move in with him and quit her job to be a "homemaker" (she has no children, so she's not a SAHM). It's been almost three years and he's financially supported her completely, she doesn't even have a car (a necessity where we live), nor does she have any friends or interests of her own. It makes no sense on the surface, but I think sometimes people who are successful and maybe somewhat insecure actually want someone who relies on them and doesn't have anything else going on in their life. Because then they feel like the other person won't/can't leave. Not saying that's definitely the case with Nutter and Bratty, but it seems plausible.
