Coincidence or the wrath of BM?

asgoodasitgets's picture

A little over 6 months ago, CPS was called on BM by SD's daycare when SD showed up there with bruises on both upper arms. A couple days later, DH had a flat tire. Took it to the shop for a patch, but was told it was not possible to patch as there was a puncture in the side wall of the tire. Our suspicions were raised but without proof, what can you do?

Over the last several months, we have been embroiled in a long court battle to have the current CO amended. A couple months ago, one of my tires developed a slow leak. We've been short on money & I don't drive a lot, so we just kept airing up the tire once a week or so. I took the car in earlier today for a tune-up, oil change, etc. & asked them to patch the tire (they are practically brand new tires). They just called to tell me that the nail is in the side of the tire & therefore unable to be patched! DH went to pick my car up & they even told him that they had "no idea how a nail could get in there like that"!!

I don't want to be overly suspicious, but this is just too much. I am definitely going to start parking in the garage again!

More than one person on this site has had this happen to them/their DH/SO. Get one of those small cameras and put it near where you parked your car. I say parked because you should park your car in the garage from now on. Hopefully your home has a security system that can alert authorities about unwanted trespassers (aka BM).

I will def be parking in the garage from now on. I haven't been for a while b/c we live in an older house so the garage is very small & detached. It is just more convenient to load, unload, get SD in & out, etc. by parking on the street. But that tire was $140!! Not worth it. And yes, we are thinking about security cameras. DH's car was parked at his workplace though when his tire was mysteriously flattened.

I've read the horror stories on here from other SM's about slashed tires, break-ins, etc. Crazy & scary!!
