Tattoo Reminders

I offered DH a back rub tonight. He has a tattoo of BMs name on his left shoulder blade. I used to chalk it up as "oh he's a romantic...blah blah blah" and he wants to get it covered. But now 7 years almost 8 it just annoys the fuck out of me. I refuse to let him put my name on him as I think it is the kiss of death in a relationship. He said he wants to get all 4 girls names surrounded by prayer hand. A) thats really generic and meaningless if you aren't a latino catholic. Dirol like getting a your GF's name on you I think partner and child names on a person are a sign of a lousy partner/parent trying to feel like a good parent. Although I think symbols are great. DH says he will get a dead owl to cover CHRISTINA on his shoulder blade for me. and I thought that was lovely. I would like to get a bee hive with the word "Count all the bees in the hive" to represent my first born but names seem like trouble to me.

I think all these guys need to go see those Tattoo Artists in Las Vegas -- can't think of the name of the show right now, but it's where they cover up ugly/stupid tattoos people have. It's a pretty funny show and you'd be surprised at the things people get inked on them.

There is also one called BAD INK. On last's night show a man had a tattoo on his thigh that said, "Nina, will you merry me?" A lot of things went wrong for this dude, marry was misspelled and 'Nina' said NO! Also, he had trouble getting other women to stay with him after seeing his tattoo.

DH just got a cover up to a silly tattoo he got a drunk night in college. The cover up is huge and the original was just a little bigger than a quarter. Now DH is in gotta have more tattoos stage. He wants a tattoo of the skid's faces on his chest. I'm not on board with this one. I really thought about throwing up the will this make you feel like you are a better dad comment. I'd have preferred that he just put the dates his kids were born someplace where I wouldn't have my face near ever. I don't know how to tell him that tattooing his kids faces on his chest would be the biggest turn off ever for me.

But you can bet dollars to donuts that if any of us gals had pictures/names of exes/BCs on our bodies, they'd be howling up a storm.

I dated a guy who had his ex-wife's names scrawled across his chest. When things were getting hot, all it took was his shirt coming off to kill it.

He couldn't understand why it was such a big deal to me, but I can't imagine expecting him to maintain a stiffy if my shirt came off & my ex's name was in his face.

I don't remember a time when names were ever thought to be a great idea among the majority. For all the jokes people make about them, I can't understand what makes people still believe it's a good thing to do.

I love my DH to no end & can't imagine being with anyone but him, but the day I ever get his name branded on me will be the day hell freezes over.

I know a lot of people do kids names, but honestly, I'd hate the idea of being reminded of SD or SS while we're naked in our bed.

Branding doesn't create bonding, but it sure can ruin it!

Fdh has a TOPLESS image of BM 2 with her name on his upper arm. It is embarrassing enough because its topless, imagine my horror when he told me it used to be BM1(whom I despise ) and he had it altered to look lke BM2.
Cant even look at it now, I keep seeing BM1.
