Kid's birthday par-tays
I am taking SD to a birthday party tomorrow for a friend of mine's daughter (turning 10).
It got me to wondering, how much do you spend for a kid's party gift. For a friend/neighbor and for a family member?
I generally do around $10-$15 for everything, but sometimes I admit I do feel "cheap." I try to make the gift thoughtful and cute.
Example: For the party tomorrow I got the girl a kitten pillow ($5... she loves cats), a package of 2 lip glosses in cute animal shaped containers ($4) and an emoji lolly pop ($1.50). Dollar store for the bag and card.
I know some people "go all out" for gifts. There is always that one mom with the fancy educational organically made gift and the fancy bag and the homemade bow and the whole 9 yards, lol.
Where do you fall on the spectrum?

Gifts for DD's friends have
Gifts for DD's friends have always been around the $20 mark, so you're not far off in my book. (But I'm not an Pinterest-loving, organic only mom)
For my DS's friends' parties,
For my DS's friends' parties, we usually spend $25-30 on a gift and put it in a gift bag. We sometimes get. GC to the movies for $25. That seems about right to me. However, I definitely don't judge what other people spend.
