It is nice that SD has a job...it gets her out of my hair while her dad is at work, and has made the summer's bearable lol.
It doesn't do a whole lot for her school work however, but that is her issue and not mine. She doesn't work full time and only works maybe two days during the week.
My issue is that at work, she tries to get her coworkers to "like" her better, and be their friend by doing their work for them....she will do whatever they ask her to do...then when she comes home from work, she feels like doing nothing. Well, sorry but you still have your regular chores to get done. But we end up with the attitude. Or I do. It's been great fun.

She has been cleaning her room for about six months now. It still is nowhere near clean. When we tell her to go and do it, she ends up sitting in her room reading rather than cleaning. Oh the reading....it is to the point of obsessive. I kid you not. We have had to confiscate books just so she will get something done.

We just did a confiscation last week....a pile of books...about five comic anime books (looks like she bought those herself about $50 dollars worth) two library books, and some of her old ones that she re reads and re reads.

She will read all of them at the same time! She is supposed to be getting chores done after school before her dad comes home, and she will be downstairs in her bathroom reading (saying she is going to the bathroom) until just before her dad gets home then she rushes through her chores so they are done before he gets here. Because she does this, she does it half assed, and then skips things too. Irritates the hell out of me. But hey, the girl has to go to the bathroom right? Everyday at the same time for an hour and a half! Whatever!
