Got A Christmas Card From SS

Not-the-mom's picture

My husband sent his son and his fiance a Christmas card (they live together). He signed both our names, even though I didn't care if he signed my name or not.

We got a Christmas card back addressed to BOTH OF US (unlike the wedding announcement that was only addressed to his father). Blum 3

My DH and I laughed when we opened the card, because it said:

"Hope This Christmas Brings You A Few Peaceful Moments"

Not sure if they really meant this, or they were being smart-alecs about it, or they really didn't realize what they sent. Maybe their spying on me here has woken them up to the fact that they need to behave. Wink

No matter their motivation in sending this card, with this particular saying, we certainly are going to have a "peaceful" Christmas, all on our own, without the skids. Blum 3

We would like to wish you here also this sentiment - a peaceful Christmas!

You also. Smile My skids will be in Utah for Christmas....where they belong! LOL.

We have no illusions about trusting them. They will have to EARN my (and my DH's) trust back - and that will take a LOT of effort on THEIR part - over a lot of time. The ball is still in their court, we will see how they handle it.

We can at least have some laughs in this situation, but that doesn't mean we are naive enough to allow these kids right back into our lives. No way! Dirol

Hope you all have a good holiday, especially you Step-Aside. Keep you coat and purse handy, and if your DH's family even looks at you cross-eyed, I would LEAVE! Biggrin
