I know as a stepmom myself that sometimes steps get over looked. She has be through the BM from hell. My nephews mother is everything dad about BM's. she is medically, emotionally, physically neglectful. She is a lier, has taught my nephew to do the same. She disappears for weeks, she will lie to save her ass even if it means my nephew takes the fall with dad for being a lier. BM is a woman I could be happy never seeing again.
My SIL deals with all this, my whiny nephew and still loves him. He is a good kid stuck in a bad situation. He isn't like the kids here. He is just a kid. He has his moments of bad, but unlike most of the step parents here, he actually gives his stepmom the good too. He does love her, he does try to respect her. He does think about her.
So I believe she does need to be remembered today too!!!
