OT - law question, not step-related

How in the heck could someone get pulled over for DWI with no license on probation and not supposed to be drinking or coming in contact with the law and already having a warrant out for missing a court hearing...and not get anything done to him on it?

Nothing on the court records. Nothing on the court calendar (besides his court hearing on 7/23 for a previous offense). Nothing except the jail record of him being arrested and held on a particular date and what he was arrested for (3rd Degree DWI, .08 or more, no license).

Could he get out of something like that if he snitched off his friend on a felony he's been committing?

I don't understand "our" justice system. Our in quotes because I think it isn't a blind justice system at all. Look at most family courts.

Was it his first offense? Sometimes the judges will let someone off on a first offense with community service and a fine as long as they don't get in more trouble in a certain amount of time.

If they haven't gone to court for the first DUI, they won't change until after court for the first charge. You can't get charged for a second DUI if you haven't been convicted of the first. So they wait till after the first one goes through and charge them with a second first.

The offenses that he is on probation for are for assault and domestic assault. This is the first DWI he's been charged with, as far as I know. Although he did get charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license and something else (he fled to not get busted for DWI) but that was in a different state.

Also is it possible that it is municipal versus state charges. In our neck of the woods in MO if the Municipal Judge is not an Attorney, they are not required to report offenses to the State. That is how BM was on a 2 year SES for DWI while getting yet another that was charged by the state and pleaded guilty for ...... get this..... a 325 dollar fine! This was also her 3rd or 4th Driving while revoked....smh.

However she is now facing yet another DWI, this time it is FINALLY persistent offender felony charge }:)
