My MIL is leaving tomorrow morning. Unlike last year, she did not bring me to tears every day of her visit….THANK GOD.
But she did have some more interesting outbursts.

Saturday we were at our cabin, it was about 8am…SS16 said he was going for a walk. WELL….MIL freaked out that the kid was going alone. She directed everything at me….how can YOU let him go alone??? That’s not right he is going alone!!!!!! OMG….how would you feel if something happened!!!!!!!!!!! I politely explained to her, that he is 16, we are in the middle of the woods in gated community , no one get just get in and I didn’t answer about how I would feel if something happened nor did I tell her about the mountain lion. SO…MIL decided she was going to walk with the kid…..BUT she had to get ready…….45 mins later they went on their walk.

Then when we were up there, I was talking to DH about the party we are having in Oct, what has to been done etc. MIL said OMG….what are you going to do with SS…these people are going to be drinking in front of him. I said nope…..he is staying home….you would have thought it was the end of the world.

Last night we went out for seafood. Like normal I told SS if you can’t eat it unassisted you can’t order it. This was the place DH fed the crab legs to him. MIL heard me and asked what I meant. I told her “the rule”. MIL freaked out…..I reminded her that the darling will be 17 in Jan. She turned to the kid and said “if you want crabs legs….I will get the meat out for you.” She was encouraging him ot order the bucket. I gave the kid the dirtiest look ever…..he ordered stuffed shrimp. Of course, he speared them with the fork and gnawed on them.

We heard from BM…the first time in about 6 weeks……she confirmed that she will be taking him Fall break!!!!!!! It was interesting she said the last time she spoke to the kid she made these plans....so it means she didn’t talk to her child for about 6 weeks….nice mom.
