Every year the DH, SS's and mom go apple picking. Great day with family then home so I can peel, cut and make apple crisp. This is my SS13 favorite thing I bake and its always top of his Christmas and birthday list.

This year we had an extra baskets of apples and couldn't give them away fast enough. I told SS's to take a basket home and SS17 said - sad they will just go to waste - BM won't make anything. I told him to take to school and give them out to the team. When BM was walking past the team Friday night as he was passing out apples, one of the boys said to SS17 "is Classy making her apple crisp? I would rather have that" SS17 told him I made it but that SS13 woke up in the middle of the night and finished it along with all of DH's ice cream.

Saturday night SS13 let it be known that BM went to the store, bought more apples and made three different apple crisps to try to get it like mine.

The bad? - We are getting out of dodge for the night on Halloween without kids or furbabies and DH has come down with some kind of ick - congestion and cough. He's a trooper tho - said that vodka and redbull will keep him going

The good? - WE ARE ABLE TO GET OUT OF DODGE!!! I had a bad feeling that either SS17 would back out of sitting, BM would tell us at the last minute that she herself had plans or DH work would call him in! None of that is happening.

If happen to be staying at a "haunted jersey shore hotel" and hear bangs and moans in the middle of night - don't call ghostbusters! It's just us! }:)
