22 yr old step daughter who has herpes keeps kissing my husband on the lips!
Forums:
I am having a prob with dh kissing his daughters on the mouth 11 and 22. The 22 yr old kissed him several times in a row. Took a pix and posted it and laughed said it looked like they were making our. She kissed him several more times and said how she missed his massages and tickles. She also has herpes. I am sick abt this and he kisses me the same way he kisses her? Plus she carries herpes. I am afraid to say anything and be called jealous. Wht would you do tell him no more kisses from his wife he might have herpes now...
He kisses his 22yo daughter
He kisses his 22yo daughter the same way he kisses you??? Herpes or no herpes, that's disgusting.
That's pretty much exactly
That's pretty much exactly what I'd tell him.
I don't kiss anyone but DH on the lips. His family, is a little different. There's a lot of lip on lip smooching, particularly with the younger nieces and nephews. To me, it's gross. He thought I was nuts but when the 5 y/o kissed him on the lips after I watched her literally lick the floor around where the cats eat and he tried to kiss me,I put my hand out and just said No. He was confused and I flat out told him, I Know where that's kids lips have been and may e you're ok with it, but I sure as hell am not. I wouldn't let you kiss me if you'd let a dog slobber on you either. I'm not interested in catching whatever she's picked up off the floor or at school, so nope, no lips for you.
He had a little cranky but then he started to actually watch where this kid put her mouth and now he won't let any of the kids kiss him on the lips either. With your SD, I'd flat out tell DH, I have no desire to catch what she has, that means no exchange of fluids, salvia is a fluid.
Then again,I'd also tell him I have no interest in kissing a husband that's making out with other women.
That is NASTY! Does he know
That is NASTY! Does he know his daughter has herpes? If so, I wouldnt care if it was my kid or not I would not put myself in a position to contract herpes from someone and then spread it to my spouse! RED FLAG!
Your dh has some serious fucking issues for even kissing his daughter(s) on the lips like it could ever even be construed as "making out" and then she goes even further to say she misses his "massages & tickles"!? I would have some SERIOUS issue with a man that is supposed to be MY MAN doing ANYTHING like that with another woman, daughter or not! RED FLAG!
Your dh is (should be) giving you some SERIOUS red flags to look at here...I wouldnt let him near me ever again until he STOPPED kissing his diseased daughter on the lips AND got tested to make sure he was 100% cleared of the Herpes virus!
You deserve WAY better! *hugs*
OMG, without the STD, I'd say
OMG, without the STD, I'd say no biggie since many cultures do this.
However, that damn STD changes that. She has an illness that can be passed to you. Who knows, that may be why she's doing this.
You have to protect yourself even if that means refusing to kiss your husband.
There are many cultures where
There are many cultures where it's acceptable to kiss your daughter the same way you kiss your wife?
Even if I kissed my dad on the lips, I can't imagine him sliding his tongue in my mouth. :?
I think they just meant that
I think they just meant that it's acceptable to kiss on the lips in other cultures; which would be a true statement.
There's just so much EWWWWW
There's just so much EWWWWW in this post I don't know what to say!
Other than that I'm glad I don't have stepdaughters!

Just to clear some of the
Just to clear some of the misconceptions: the herpes simplex virus isn't necessarily an sti. And even if someone doesn't ever have an outbreak, they can still be shedding and spreading the virus. And it can spread from the cheeks to the lips, nose or eyes. So a kiss on the cheek isn't necessarily safe.
But I'll agree that kissing your child on the lips always looks odd. Tell him that it makes you feel uncomfortable, but explain why without any accusation or else he'll just think you're being difficult.
He kisses her like he kisses
He kisses her like he kisses you? Are we talkin' tongue action here? Because that is effin' sick and twisted.
My dad still leans in for the peck on the lips. It drives ME insane. I don't have the heart to tell him I am WAY too old for that. I just try as hard as I can to give him the cheek for his lips. He would NEVER kiss me like he kisses my SM though. That is just dirty.
I think my dad has a hard time realizing that his "BABY" is 35 years old.
I have a similar problem with
I have a similar problem with SD20. She has herpes (gets cold sores). She got it from BM and passed it to DH. Yay. SD comes over one time, has an open cold sore, keeps trying to kiss my two BDs and even tried to get one of my BDs to drink from her straw. Hell no! I spent the whole time she was there super pissed, seemed like every time I turned around she was trying to infect my two BDs. I mean, even trying to share silverware with them, and she is NOT that kind of person normally. It was pretty obvious, and totally not an accident because she's had herpes pretty much her entire life, she KNOWS what not to do while she has an outbreak.
Your SD is one sick, twisted
Your SD is one sick, twisted bitch! :jawdrop:
Oh no, you and I are just too
Oh no, you and I are just too picky about her behavior. (According to my head in the sand DH)
Recurrent fever blisters
Recurrent fever blisters (herpes outbreaks) can be treated with antiviral drugs, acyclovir or valcyclovir (Valtrex). I believe they SHOULD be treated, and people who get outbreaks should have a prescription for one of the drugs. When one feels an impending sore developing, take the meds immediately and the duration of the outbreak is reduced dramatically, as is the pain, the disfigurement, and the likelihood of transmitting the virus. After a course of the meds, recurrences are often much farther apart. If one gets a FIRST infection, there is evidence that the drugs can prevent the virus from being able to come back, as it doesn't get a foothold. I have been infected from early childhood, and the antivirals have made a HUGE difference in my life. Much less pain and embarrassment from the ugly sores, which really hurt if not treated.
Very informative!

All my skids have herpes and
All my skids have herpes and constant outbreaks. Me and my 3 children have never caught the virus, - not that I am aware of any way. My 3 skids had outbreaks when my DS was a newborn. My SO was very casual about herpes because both BM's had regular outbreaks as well as all his children, strangely, never him though. Just before our baby was born I printed out information from the web about how much damage herpes can do to a newborn, it can actually kill them, they are too young to be a herpes carrier. When oldest skid leaned in for a kiss to her day old brother with 3 friggin blisters on her mouth I nearly had a fit, and because SO was well informed by me he didn't do his usual and try and tell me I was over reacting. Skids outbreaks totally gross me out, I watch them like hawks. Have caught them using my toothbrush before, with blisters on their mouths. Oldest skid 14, last visit, she was trying to teach my now 2 year old how to use a whistle, with blisters on her mouth. I got quite mad, she was about to put it from her mouth to his. EEWWWW! I think she does it without thinking, I bloody hope so, but anyway, I watch them like hawks whilst they have the sores on their faces.

It's posts like this that
It's posts like this that makes me think my life isn't that bad. That kissing a 11 yr old and a 22 year old in the mouth is beyond gross! Stop worrying about feelings, they are made to be hurt. This is about your respect not to mention health. That is pure incest. I'd have to say something to throw them both off like ," you two need a condom." simply disturbing!
Once when we picked up SS
Once when we picked up SS from his mother's house, I had the misfortune of watching him kiss her goodbye on the lips. He was about 11 at the time and it was really freaky and gross. I have a hard enough time trying not to think about DH ever kissing that nasty woman. Seeing the two people I most detest in the universe kiss each other on the mouth was disturbing to say the least. Anyway, not to be too vulgar here, but it is possible to catch type 1 Herpes (the oral kind) in your genitals during oral sex if your partner has an oral outbreak. It is no small thing and not everyone (especially teenagers) is aware of this fact. One of my best friends gave her boyfriend herpes this way before she felt the first tingle of an outbreak. She was truly devestated about this and her boyfriend never forgave her and dumped her. Some people are susceptible and some are much less so, and likely if your husband has never had an oral outbreak at his age, he isn't likley to get it, but still, Please protect yourself. If I ever ended up with an STD that came indirectly from SS's body, I would be too disgusted with myself to exist.
HSV-1 absolutely can cause
HSV-1 absolutely can cause genital lesions and be considered an STD. HSV-2 is the more common genital herpes.
Either way, I would do anything I could to avoid catching it. Kissing obviously infected people? Nasty.
On the HSV debate, sad but
On the HSV debate, sad but true. Lately more and more teenagers are having oral sex because they don't want to get pregnant and they think oral sex is safe sex. Because of this, cases of genital HSV1 have risen dramatically. Yes, correct that HSV1 is extremely common orally and usually manifests in children, with unknown issues affecting susceptibility (mostly genetic). Severity of outbreaks typically lessens as the child matures to adulthood. HSV1 of the mouth is not considered an STD, but when it is transferred to the genitals, it is. A person can shed virus as long as they have a lesion, which may not be huge enough end festering enough to notice. As long as there is a little micro-abrasion of the genitals, that's all that is needed. Certainly not as common as HSV1 transmission mouth to mouth, but I don't want to be that one percent statistic, do you? Gross, but lets at least get the facts straight. P.S. Having HSV1 provides a small bit of immunity to HSV2, so at least your SD is less slightly likely to get HSV2. You can think about that while your new mouth ulcers are festering from her kissing daddy on the lips and him kissing you....just kidding. Be safe and smart.

That's gross. I would flip a bitch if SD (or even my bios for that matter) kissed my man on the lips like that. Inappropriate as hell.
I once refused to let an ex boyfriend kiss me on the mouth after I watched his dog lick the inside and outside of his mouth. :jawdrop:
BTW: I am not with that weirdo anymore!
