BM tends to think she doesn't have enough alone time, however in a nuclear family do mothers get time off/vacation from their family. NO, not that I recall. BM impression is that fdh and I get alot of time off, and we club it every other weekend. Not the case at all...read on...

Kids complain that they are getting the short end of the stick, because they are from a divorce family. Actually, they are getting more. I feel like fdh and I cater to their every whime in order to keep the peace. I work, race home, make lunch, head to the pool (I never went to a pool or beach when I was a kid)...then race to get dinner made, oh we need a movie, laundry, more snacks, drinks, etc....never ever ending needs wants, demands expectations...ugh!!! yeah, they have it bad...my parents would have spanked me and sent me to bed. Guess we live in a difficult era. Are we created equal?

DH, he works 6 days a week 3 weeks out of the month, works an entire week 6am - 11pm from friday to friday on week a month (yep that right you read that correctly) he gets kids eowe - so when you look at a calendar, he has one - ONE DAY OFF A MONTH. ONE DAY TO HIMSELF. He is the person that complains the least, if ever, in fact I have never heard him complain. He doesn't ask for anything and rolls with whatever is happening because he most of all is praying for peace and is wishing I am sure he had some "alone time" like BM begs for every week.
