My dog is sick STFU SD18

TickedOff's picture

I have two Doberman Pinschers that I rescued they are brothers and I love them like the sons I never birthed. One of my Doby's is sick. The vet thinks its allergies but he seems so sad. He is in his 40's in doggy years he always sleeping, He has started coughing and sneezing a lot, He won't eat and you can see in his face how sad he is. I've been stroking him all night and he just looks so depressed he won’t even play with his brother. He won't even fight over the chew rope. DH thinks his time is drawing near. I don't even want to think like that. SD18 makes a heartless comment “If he does pass can we burry him in the back yard". I wanted to say something to her but I’m not in the mood.

When I first got my doby's you couldn't get them to stop playing and barking and now I don't know what to do. If I lose my doby I will be devastated and I know his brother would feel the loss. I just want him to get better.

I'm so sorry to hear this Sad

It's always heartbreaking when our furrbabies get sick. You're taking good care of him and I'm sure he feels very loved. Hopefully he makes a full recovery

I'm so sorry to hear your Doby is sick Sad

Have you called your vet? I just saw on the news the other day about a new sickness that is happening in the K9 world, they were encouraging everyone to call the vet if your dog is sick.

Wishing him a speedy recovery!!

to your SD, oh there's things I'd like to bury in the backyard, alright and just glared out her, would have served her right.

Yeah I took him to the vet yesterday and she said he is most likely suffering from allergies. But I don't think its just allergies if you just look at himlying there all depressed you would know something is wrong. I'm trying to get through work without tearing up. I love my doby.

So sorry to hear that . I have a female Doberman, and love her like my kids. She has been depressed since my oldest left for college, so hard to see them like that. I hope he gets well soon.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your Doberman. I'm sorry he's sick. Sad

Because sd is now an adult you can take some of her prized possessions and bury them in the backyard }:)
