What a week, already! I quit. I want to curl up in a ball and just cry untill there is nothing left of the stress and pain.
Saturday I was at my best friend's house. She lives with a 57 year old man who is like a father to her. He opened his arms to her whole family (4 kids, her fiance and herself) This says alot about charactor. Her two oldest were visiting their father at an on-suite thing at her mothers house. (He is a known user who is claiming to be clean). Her room mate came home from work early and went to bed at 630ish. By 7pm he was snoring.
So we had a couple drinks, sang a couple songs and had a blast. At 1130 we were wondering why he hasn't woken up from his nap yet. My friend went in to check on him, and started screaming. The only thing I can compare her screams to, is when my grandmother died infront of my mom, when I was 10. Having first aid me and my DH went to check on him. He was stiff.
Long story short, I now have my best friends second youngest (2) staying with me and my SD. Her older brother (4) comes to visit once he wakes up. He's staying at my mom's down the street. My best friend (BF) is starting to get her stuff together and get over what happened. Then last night we get a call from her sister, who is watching BFs oldest girl (6). Some idiot called CPS saying that my BF is drinking infront of the kids and putting them in danger. THE KIDS ARE ALL WITH RELATIVES! Oh and her room mate died from excessive drinking over a long period of time. She has sworn off alchol and probably for the better. It would not help her to drink right now. So yea.. Here's the count...
Saw the first dead body of my life
He was a friend
Watching my BF temporarly lose her mind
Keeping two of her kids so she can settle down
CPS called on a wonderful mother and they are looking into it. (Which is way more then they did to the BM of my SD, who pretty much had kiddy porn on her FB)
Oh yea and I have the sole custody trial tomorrow.

It can only go up from here right?
