I think my period is due... Either it's that or I'm going through Midlife crisis!!
There is no point to this vent!
My DH is away for 8 weeks. Today is our anniversary. Tomorrow is his birthday. Wednesday is mine!
We got married on a Friday the 13th of July!! A date we picked while drinking. Because his birthday is July 14th and mine is July 15th. So when we got engaged we had a few drinks and started laughing saying... wouldn't it be funny if there was a Friday the 13th in July? And then we looked at the calendar and saw that there was one - just about a year from our engagement date! We had to do it! And Surprise! We pretty much had our choice of halls. ha !
I'm going back and forth here between just laughing at the stupidity of my past weekend... to being really happy that today is my anniversary, even though DH isn't here, I still feel close to him... to just wanting to kick someone's ass because BM pissed me off so much and I am taking SD to her counselor today.
Ahhhh - is it my period? Or is it midlife crisis? Maybe I just need a margarita!!!

margarita,and comfy pjs
Aww honey!! I still think it sucks so bad that DH is away for 8weeks!! Plus the timing couldn't be worse with birthdays and anniversary. BUT, bright side is you're getting your period and will hopefully get it again right before he comes home so you'll be FREE AND CLEAR to celebrate like maniacs when he comes home!!!
Deep breath, put that midlife crisis thought out of your pretty head and just focus on comfy jammies and margaritas

wow....July is deifnately YUR month, Stck!!!

Thanks BBB, Lotus!
I actually feel more good than bad. I love DH so much that even though he is far away (he's going to Winnipeg today and I am in NY) I still feel close to him. I just feel blessed. I pray that EVERYONE on here - can have that feeling with their SO... regardless of what a doucheb*g BM may be or how bratty and difficult SKIDS may be. Even though my love for DH brought me to here... I still feel lucky. Yay!
Awww You make me all warm n squishy!
Yay for squishy hearts!! AWWW!!!!

Well.......
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Stick and her DH, Happy Birthday to YALL!!
And HUGE congrats on the anniversary.
My MIL and FIL just celebrated their 50th. Guess what, FIL was out of town. I was mad at him, DH was mad at him, but guess what........MIL said, we don't need to be together on any paticular day to know how long we've been married or to know that we love one another. The day he gets back from his trip safe and alive will be something bigger to celebrate." That woman, she's a keeper!
So see Stick, you don't have to be together to realize just how important you are to one another, though you already know that, I'm just saying it to you also!
Drink two glasses of wine to celebrate, one for you and one for him.
(((hugs)))

Sorry Guys I'm jumbled thoughts today
I was going to blog about some of the stupid crap over the weekend with BM and BM's mom... I was literally crying to my mom and BIL on Friday. But I just can't bring it up again. I'm just tired and I'm happy today is my anniversary and I can't go through it again.
And I was going to blog on a response to Vickmeister and Sassy too, but I can't seem to get my words on screen. They won't come... they feel stilted and I think you guys would all be like, Yeah, DUH that's what we've been trying to tell you!!
So I just added on to this blog of mine because I wanted to be happy today!!
Jen - Thanks for the bday wishes. And thanks for the story about your Mother and Father in Law!! If DH and I make it to 50 years - he will be 92 and I will be 88!! We got married very late!!
You sound like me!
The way you picked your wedding date sounds like something I would do, just to be contrary! We picked ours so that my H, who is terrible at remembering anniversary dates, etc., would be able to remember it. May 23: 5/23...5=2+3. (He isn't even totally sure what date Christmas is on... thanks to his being raised a Jehovah's Witness, where they never were allowed to celebrate any holidays.)
Happy birthday! I'm sorry your husband is so far away, but it's so great that you feel so close to him. It's really a privilege to be able to miss someone that much, isn't it?
Hugs!

Happy Anniversary!
And Happy Birthday!!!
My ex has some coincidental dates too. He and I were married on July 8th, his divorce from his 2nd wife was final just the other day, July 9th, and our divorce was final July 10th a couple of years ago.
I hope you're able to celebrate in one way or another. Have a margarita with girlfriends.
Love me or hate me, I'm still gonna shine!!!
OH Stick....
I feel like that every month! LOL Always some new crisis or event that I must wrap my head around. Probably is PMS... I'll have a margie with you too
Happy birthday and anniversary. It's nice to see a post that reminds us of the love we have for our DH's despite all the crap they brought to the table. If they weren't worth it, we'd be history, right? Enjoy your good mood
