We told ss14 to keep trying to go play with his friends. The kid is so lazy, he actually confessed to dh that he wasn't feeling sick last night, he was feeling depressed because he couldn't play video games with his friends ( we don't allow online gaming at our home and bm hadn't set up wifi at her home). Poor boy!

Today dh encouraged him to set up some time t play with his frind who lives around the corner. My personal summer mission had been to get all kids out if the house, on bikes, exploring, off of their devices/ tv/ electronics.

We told ss to take the fam phone and be back by 5. (It was about 2). Take some money to buy a slurpee, meet frid half way and go "get crazy" and be a 14 year old boy- go to the park, scook, skate park, creek - whatever! Just go and get out with your friend. Learn t navigate the world. Maybe make a bad decision, but go have some summer fun!?

So ss leaves the house and about 15 minutes later he walks in with a bug smile, frind behind him with his own goofy smile. Ss asks if they can hang out here. I immediately say NOPE! Go have fun. Go outside. Be gone for three hours, we'll see you at 5!

What's the matter with these kids!?
