So much for THAT idea.....
Haven't posted in awhile had some personal issues going on with my family and such and DH and I had a baby in January. Things with OSD had kind of straightened out or so I thought. In the last three weeks that child UGH! Right back to the same bull sh*t. The lying the stealing the mouth! Been in three fights the last two weeks at school and of COURSE it's "never her fault" the kicker came last week. DHs boss had some money missing. Called a meeting none of the other employees knew about it. Boss was freaking out. Well come to find out OSD had taken it. DH hit the roof. Called the cops ect. Cops gave her a "talking to" boss was just relieved that it was found and he did apologize to the employees. Fast foward to this week. SKids are out of school today for teacher in service. OSD got ripped by DH Saturday for yup you guessed it stealing. Not two days later she gets caught again. Her "reasons" are "I wanted it/BM does it/everyone does it" sorry but BM hasn't SPOKEN to the kids since the first of December. BM is a 1/2 ass parent anyway there's a reason DH has full custody. SD pilfers through EVERYTHING she has this mentality that everything is hers and she should be the only person to have privacy. (and before I get told to take her to counceling she's already IN counceling)
And her mouth! Ugh! Everything either comes out as a whiiiinnnneeeee or she's a smart ass about it. You ask her a simple question and she plays the "I foooorrrrggggggoooottt" whine crap. Honestly I want nothing more than her OUT of the house. I'd be HAPPY to pack her shit and send her somewhere. Hell at this point I'd take BM! I'm honestly at the point where I just don't give a flying flip about her anymore. I really don't. DH does man up but geez! I swear that child has some SERIOUS issues! Social issues anger issues you name it! Shes also gripimg she "has no friends" gee if tou treat ppl at school like the way you treat people at home i can see WHY! This is getting past the point of ridiculous! I just HAD to vent before my cheese slipped off my cracker.....

Wait, has my SD been living
Wait, has my SD been living with you? If so, send her ass packing back home, lol.
Sorry to hear about all of this. I can relate to a point, but, since I don't have my SD full-time, I can only begin to imagine the aggravation of having that nonsense around all the time. Glad to hear that your DH steps up when needed, though. Just too bad it's not really getting through to your OSD :/
With the rest of it, the mean
With the rest of it, the mean stuff to other people, sass mouths, nothing we can do girl! If what we do as mother's doesn't sink in and what the Dad's do doesn't sink in, well it's up to them to sink or swim, right?
Heck yea! Exactly like the OP said, if the SD treats her "friends" the way she treats everyone else, she only has herself to blame for being friendless.
Said the same thing to my SO last year, when SD was on one of her "I want to live with you guys in PGH" trips. He said she should move out here because she didn't have friends at home and I started laughing because it was ludicrous to me to think that moving her out here would fix her friend situation. Or that that should be the sole impetus for moving her out here.
I said "SO, moving her out here isn't going to change that. SHE has to realize that there's a reason she doesn't have friends. Did GUBM fail her in the socialization department? Gloriously. But, at the end of the day, SD is 12 now and can fix it for herself. She just has to apply herself in counseling and talk about that, heck, that's one of the main reasons we're paying for her to go. And if she doesn't? Oh well. Keep treating people like garbage and, much like an overripe dumpster, they'll begin to avoid you."
Thanks! Sometimes I'm GLAD
Thanks! Sometimes I'm GLAD the baby starts crying he tends to drown out her mouth. And I'll bring the wine Along with the cheese!
