Recipes!!!!!!!!!
I would love to have some of your recipes for meatloaf. This will be my first time making meatloaf for my FH and I want it to be FANTASTIC! He usually does the cooking because he gets home earlier than me, but I plan to take off work early tomorrow and surprise him.
My old meatloaf recipe consists of: ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion soup mix, ketchup, and to be honest, I can't remember what else.........it's been that long since I made it.
Any recipe would be so welcome!!!!!!
And I will pick one of the recipes and give you reviews on Wednesday morning.
Thanks in advance ladies!!!!

Did someone say meatloaf?
I use seasoned bread crumbs, egg, A1 steak sauce, onion, and top it with chili sauce. YUM!
I have a recipe for my dad's
I have a recipe for my dad's meatloaf and it is soooooo good. I will have to type it up tomorrow for you. He normally just uses what ever he finds in the fridge and it always tasted so good, my mom followed him one time and got a decent recipe so my sisters and I can at least cook one variation of it. I know it calls for things like ranch dressing, catalina dressing, curry ketchup, i think some A-1, worchestershire sauce, eggs, ritz crakers, wheat bread, cheese, hmm..... I can't remember the rest but I can get it to you tomorrow or maybe later tonight if I remember at home.
I am stealing this one.....
This is located under "Recipes" on the left side of the screen.... I have been making it ever since I found it.... it is delicious!! AND if this is your first time making meatloaf its really easy too!

Combine ground beef, dry stuffing, and the included packet, with 1 cup of milk in a bowl. Make into a loaf and put in pan. Put holes in meatloaf, using finger, and insert cheese into holes. Cover holes back up, by pressing down on top of meat loaf. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 1 hr, or until done.660This is a no fail meatloaf, the seasonings come from the stove top packet, thats included in the box. Its perfect everytime. Quick and easy!! You can add, onions, and bell peppers (chopped) if you want, and also use cubed velveeta cheese, instead of cheddar. Its great either way.2 pds of ground beef1 box of Stove Top Stuffing (uncooked)1 cup of milk16 oz of cubed cheddar cheese
Sounds great!
And I have all of this stuff, so I won't have to stop at the store on my way home.
Thanks bunches!

Thanks, ladies!!
I guess it would be pretty hard to screw up a meatloaf. Basically anything you can find in the fridge or pantry that you like could be thrown into a meatloaf. I will use your suggestions and let you know on Wednesday how it turns out.
I'm sure it will be yummy!!

this recipe
sounds kinda funky, but i have NEVER been a meatloaf fan and tried this and it is AWESOME.....i don't use the frozen blend veggies fresh (my dad uses frozen and says it's just as good) and i use ritz for the crackers & worcteshire (sp) for meat seasoning. i always double it, because it is that good..........
Ingredients
cooking spray
20 reduced-fat buttery-taste crackers
large zip-top bag
1 pound lean ground beef, 7% fat
1 cup frozen seasoning blend (onions, bell peppers, and celery)
1/2 cup reduced-fat milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon meat seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup maple syrup
Steps
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat 9- x 4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
2. Place crackers in zip-top bag and crush finely. Combine all ingredients (except ketchup and syrup) in medium bowl, mixing just until combined (do not over-mix). Place in pan and shape into a loaf. Wash hands. Bake 40–45 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F or higher. Use a meat thermometer to accurately ensure doneness.
3. Combine ketchup and syrup in small bowl. Five minutes before bake time is complete, pour over meatloaf; complete bake time. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Sounds delicious!
I will try all the meatloaf recipes over the next few weeks (FH will NEVER get tired of meatloaf - he loves it!) and give all of you reviews.
They all sound great!
Thanks again!
I bet it has been at least 7 years since I have made a meatloaf. It's hard to make a meatloaf for just 2 people, and it's been just me and my 16 y/o BD for that long.

I tend to use bbq sauce over
I tend to use bbq sauce over ketchup. And, I use whatever's on hand, so it always changes, but for a fun twist sometime, try the pancetta wrapped turkey meatloaf that Giada makes on foodnetwork. Every time I make that, I make three and freeze two. It's so good. Although, you could wrap anything in bacon of some kind, and I'd love it.
To every thing there is a season.
