BS14 went to his week away camp today. It's his third summer and he really has had a great time. When we toured the camp three years ago ExH was really unsure as it is very rustic. He was thrown off by BS muttering "this is it, this is the place where something will happen." ExH thought BS was nervous but BS and I got there about half an hour ahead of ExH and BS was instantly enamored of the place because he *knew* this was where he'd have stories and things to tell afterward. "Things will happen here" wasn't ominous, it was hopeful foreshadowing.

I was a camp counselor but ExH never went or worked at a camp so he deferred to me. BS begged to go. We sent him. Today was the beginning of this years camp and ExH did the drop off and texted me about six times, long texts (for him), including a statement of how BS will be fine. Not sure if he's trying to convince himself again or comfort me.

I know BS will be fine. Even if the place burned down while he was there he'd have a story.
