Step MIL cancelled...

Why am I not surprised..she did this a few years ago too. Anyway she no longer need the cage and so she isn't coming even though dh's dad said she was already planning on coming to see weather she needed the cage or not. I knew the only reason she was coming was to borrow the cage and she didn't care about seeing us or anything. Her excuse is she doesn't have the money and she wants to come with fil so she will wait. However the same thing happened a few years ago they were supposed to come see us but made up an excuse.

I am going to tell dh we shouldn't go see them til they can make the trip to see us it gets old being the only one to spend the m money to see them and it be one sided. Which is why I insisted that this years vacation was not centered around going to see them like it always has been since we have been together. It took dh a while but he came around besides every time we go there fil is always working him in his vacation and we do nothing!

Ok now she wants to meet half way and us bring the cage. I am getting very tired of this back and forth crap! should we or not is the question, I am leaning toward no we already have plans. I don't understand why she thinks she should droop everything for her? I feel like my whole day and now tonight has been dictated by this woman b/;c she can't make up her mind. Sad

Thanks i texted my dh and told him the same thing. It's not that I don't like her b/c i do it is just that she seems to think we should cater to her. Plus neither of them have been to our house ever in over 8 years. We have always been the ones to go to their home 8 hours away. They have made plans several times now to come here but always cancelled.

Then when they want something they will come get it but when dh called them on it she was going to come anyway. I don't believe that b/c right after that she said she didn't need it and wasn't coming then said she didn't have the money. She will be at her brothers which is about 2 hours away. Then she said she wanted to wait to see us when her dh (fil) will be with her.

Then she called and said she wants us to meet half way to get the cage.

Now doesn't it sound like she just wanted the cage and could care less that she sees us???
