So tired of MIL......
It seems like every three or four months or so, we are having to remind MIL that she is the mother and not the wife. I have no idea what make s her think that she can make decisions that impact my household without my consent, but it ain't happening.
She called me...at work...to say that she wanted to know why she hadn't heard from her son....so I told her that his cell number is still the same and she would probably have more luck asking him than me. I explained to her that my work number is reserved for clients and that she should leave a message on my cell umnless its an emergency in the future.
Give me a break, everyone can see what she's trying to say, insinuating that DH doesn't call her because of me. Not the case, but tough cookies.
Get over it, MIL!

OMG! That's what I mean!
I even told DH that he could go to MIL's without me this Thanksgiving if he just has to be with them, because there is no way that I will subject myself to that torment....btw, I don't break bread with people I can't stand.
I guess we only stopped to
I guess we only stopped to see MIL in DH's car and one day we were in mine and she said "Well, when did you get that? Spoiled. Must be nice....." insinuating DH should have bought her a car. Seriously?! You are in a retirement village! Where do you need to drive to!?

EXACTLY!!!! Are mothers of daughters just as annoying and invasive but we can't see it because we are the daughters?? My family is very "formal" - nearly stuffy - so my mother never asks personal questions, she waits for me to volunteer info. She would never tell me I should have bought her something. Crazy MILs!!
LOL! I know for a fact that
LOL! I know for a fact that my mom is the same way....she doesn't even ask about our relationship or other private issues and won't comment on them unless I beg for her advice!
