No laundry from SD9 last weekend, yet again.....
So Dh notices me doing laundry on Sunday. He asks me is Sd9 brought me her dirty clothes. Nope, nothing from her this weekend again. He asks me if ss10 brought me his clothes. Yep, he brought me his yesterday, they are in the drier now. He shakes his head. (Note: last laundry crisis a week and a half ago was resolved by Dh doing hervlaundry himself on Thursday before he went to work.... See previous blogs "not my problem SD and becoming depressed for the full back story)
Now I am thinking great. He's going to go remind her and she will once again play innocent and have no repricussions for her games. Don't know if he just forgot or purposely didn't give her a heads up, but he didnt tell her to bring me her clothes.
Later that night I was finishing up folding the last of Ss's clothes in our room Dh came in and saw me. "did SD ever bring you her clothes?" Nope "so all that clothes is SS's?" Yep.
To his credit,he went back to her room to yell at her. Of coarse her usual excuse was "I forgot". "well, whose fault is that SD, whose fault? Cause now mommy is done doing wash this week and you did have any of your clothes washed" Quite happy that he didn't expect me to start her wash right then and rush to get it done. I had the kids to bathe and dishes to run, and we can only have one water-using applicance running at once due to crappy water pressure. Happy he called her on it, but its real shitty that she still plays these games. And now I have twice the laundry waiting for me next weekend (if she remembers).
I am just so tired of her princess attitude. So entitled to everything good, and anything that's work is totally beneath her. Her room is a shit stye and I can barely stand to look in it when I walk by. Dh has yelled at her about it a few times in recent weeks (ive disengaged from it) but he isn't consistant about it.
Her new suck-up-to-daddy move is to prance around on her tip toes with her arms flailing like a fairy whenever he calls her or she's going to see him. She looks absolutely rediculous.... Skipping and prancing around like that as a chubby 9.5 yr old. It drives me insane. The cute sweet innocent little girl act grinder on my nerves like you wouldn't believe..... Because her actual personality is so mean and nasty. If Dh would just put her in her place and keep on her we might make some progress. She wont listen to a word I say, until I yell, and yet Dh calls her and its yes daddy (in a baby voice) and she prancs over in a hurry. She literally bathes once a week now, since she choses not to listen when I say it time to shower. I say it once, if she choses to ignore me so be it. I am not getting myself worked up anymore over her. So she downtime bathe all week while Dh isn't home and only bathes on Sunday nights (she doesn't have the balls to blatently disobey me in front of her father).

Princess Psycho SD13 gave us
Princess Psycho SD13 gave us the same line "I forgot" or she would say directly, no I don't want to. So whatever she packed to go home to Psycho Sluts house went back dirty, otherwise, it sat on her floor.
We have her full time
We have her full time unfortunately. Wish I could just pack up her funk and sent her to her mothers.
I'm right there with you.
I'm right there with you. SD9 acts like "cute sweet innocent little girl but her actual personality is so mean and nasty."
But, try this one--SD9 never has dirty clothes at all. She puts her dirty clothes back in the drawer ever day, including her underwear! Eeeww. So when DH tells her to bring her laundry to us, she goes to her room and randomly picks a few clothes, so most of the time we are only re-washing her clean clothes!
I've decided to not get worked up over her anymore. It's not worth it. If she wants to be gross, not my kid, not my problem!
Eight and a half more years.... Eight and a half more years..... Right?!
Sd13 does this too. I didn't
Sd13 does this too. I didn't bother getting worked up for a few weeks, then she asks me why I never do laundry. I said I ask you every week for your laundry, your choice to bring it to me or not. I then had a month to wash at once. Now dh either goes it together or makes her do it, and every once in a while I go in there and look for where she is hoarding her nasty bloody underwear and pants, and other stained clothes she doesn't want anyone to find. It's disgusting, and her room, between that and her NASTY, DISGUSTING feet, smells like a dead body all the time. After the dog discovered a box full of used tamons in her room, right next to a stash of junk food I might add, the rule s she now has to keep her funk contained to her room and bathroom. If I can smell it outside the door, I go looking with gloves on.
I hope you throw it away
I hope you throw it away instead of washing it.
That was my thought too.
That was my thought too.
This would not fly with me.
This would not fly with me. My house and I want all rooms to be clean. I would send her father in to find her used tampons, let him clean it up, if he can't get her to clean it. But I would not let a room in my house be that gross. If dad doesn't have the balls to make her clean it...he would be cleaning it. I don't care which one does it as long as it's done. And I'll bet you Dad will eventually get tired of cleaning the little princesses room and will eventually make her do it herself. Try it!
This is one reason I am so
This is one reason I am so glad I have the parental end-game with my SD12, almost 13. You shower or you do nothing. She tried to get in the water and get out without washing a few times, and typically "the look" sends her running real quick. I just have to worry about the typical sneaky tween stuff, not really stepmom-type things.
I have to say the forgetting the laundry, forgetting the chores, this was very normal for my SD as well. I have to remind her to do just about everything, and still remind her to brush her teeth. At that age, 9ish, my SD always wanted to skip baths too and would try to manipulate out of it or get her hair wet (LOL- she smelled the house up with BO I gagged), and I set a scheduled of 8pm everything shuts down, TV, computer, games, everything, and you do nothing until showered *and showered correctly*, took pills, and brushed teeth. THEN if these things are done by the time limit I expect, I would let her have 30 minutes of calm play time before bed, either TV, computer, or board game with me. Having a schedule really helped mine, its not an option,it is just what we do everyday at 8pm. She is 12 and gets up and goes showers at 8pm every night now, though she has pushed it back to 8:30 now, and she has her routine done by 9. It was a struggle for a while, but I never have to tell her to shower now (finally in 7th grade, always had to all her life until now) and this is the first year I am no longer having to literally CHECK her teeth because she would lie about brushing teeth and fuzz would be on her teeth so gross and would smell like sewer. This year, she brushes night and morning (I sometimes check the toothbrush to make sure).
So hang in there, you're not alone, it's not just your SD being a weird nasty little kid, I think a lot are like that or at least a good number of them.
SD14 always grossed me out in
SD14 always grossed me out in that she wouldn't have any laundry for weeks... literally weeks. Finally I don't know if DH would ask her about or if she would want something that was dirty or what, but I would see a load of laundry in the washer that apparently DH had done. (I flat out refused to be her maid) But when I would move her clothes from the washer to the dryer, so that I could do OUR laundry, she would only have like 2 or 3 pairs of underwear and maybe one bra in there. Really???? WEEKS with no laundry and you only have a couple pairs of dirty underwear?? WTH? Of course this was the girl who had tampon applicators lying around on her bedroom floor, so I guess this shouldn't be a surprise.
When I as that age, my mother used to bitch because I had too MUCH laundry...and I would have gnawed my left arm off before letting ANYONE find a tampon (even an unused one) lying around on my bedroom floor. Guess I was raised much different than how skanky BM has raised SD
