Dr. Phil and CS
Watching an old Dr. Phil.
BM lost custody of her children to her EXH. She has two new children with her current DH. She is a SAHM and has been court ordered to pay $150 a month CS.
BM tells Dr. Phil that she isn't working now and that is why she is behind in CS. Dr. Phil is telling her that because she lives in a nice house paid for by her current DH and her current DH has received a few raises, that he should be paying her CS.
I don't know if I agree with this. I know personally, I would never give my skids BM a dime of my money.
BUT if the BM on this show and her current DH decides she will not work, should CS be paid from his paycheck?

She did have visitation. The EXH was making accusation of the SF harming the children. Dr. Phil said he didn't believe it.

Although, to be fair, not every guy "allows" it. My own SD has a BS 18 months. She lives with the baby's father, although they're not married. SD doesn't work and it drives her BF bat-shit crazy. He pays all the bills and buys all the diapers, formula, baby food, clothing, etc etc etc. He would LOVE for her to get a job and help out, but so far she's simply refused. She'll claim that she filled out some on-line application, but then she'll tell her sisters that she didn't really - she has ZERO intention of working as long as her BF will support her.
So in that case, I don't at ALL think the spouse should have to cover CS, at least not legally. He can't actually MAKE her do anything.

This times 100. And 150$ a month. I have no sympathy for her
No man could be house husband and only pay 150$

I think in our state if you are voluntarily not working they calculate what your pay would be if you worked in your field (or if you have no degrees/training then minimum wage) & calculate CS off of that. You have to find a way to pay it. If your spouse decides you can still stay home, they pay. Think of it as any other debt, like a loan you need to repay. If your spouse decides you can stay at home, he picks it up.

She could easily get $150 a month by donating plasma

My SO is a contract for the base we work on. Every 5 years the contract is up for renewal, meaning he could lose his job. I have told him many times, I don't have a problem paying for all the bills until he gets another job, but I WILL NOT pay his CS. I couldn't afford it and all the bills anyway.
