Semi-OT - FB Question
Up until now, BM has been adamant that SD15 is not allowed a Facebook account. But now, it seems she may bend, subject to monitoring, which DH and I agree with. Before y'all warn me about FB shenanigans, I already know what drama it can cause.
DH and I (and ALL of DH's relatives) would like to be FB friends with SD15 - she's actually a good teenager - polite, respectful, and modest. SD15 set up an illicit FB account, which I saw, and there's not a single inappropriate word or image on it. With a legit one, with all of her elders looking on, I believe she will conduct herself appropriately.
If this goes down, I *know* BM will use SD15's account to spy on DH and me. Heck, we will do the same. BM having access to my page doesn't bother me - I post about knitting, cooking, my dogs, and my house. My mother is on FB, and if it's not appropriate for her, I don't post it. However, there are some pictures of DH that BM does not need to see. They reveal that he's two full pay grades over what she believes he is. If she weren't unbelievably lazy, she would have figured this out by now; his pay grade is on SD15's ID card, which is in her possession. Anyway, it's up to her to figure it out - we don't need to be handing her a reason to drag DH to court to finance her extravagant (unemployed) lifestyle.
So, does anybody know how to block single people from specific pictures? Is it a real pain in the butt, or is it simple?

Very simple, go to your
Very simple, go to your settings and click on privacy settings. Your photo albums will be in there. Choose the "custom" There you can pick and choose who you DON'T want to see your photos, when you are done it will say, "Photos FriendsOnly; except for SD15" or whoever else you add. You can pretty much do this with everything. That's how I ended up adding BM#1 as a "friend" when she sent me a request. I really don't want her having access to any of my pics, to my email address, cell phone # etc. So this way I could feel like I wasn't being a jerk by denying her "friend request" but I could also limit what I want her to see.
Yes, this^^^ I did this
Yes, this^^^
I did this before I accepted steps friend requests because I knew that anything they had access to, BM would also have access to. I blocked them from all of my childhood pics & my family albums. They can see our dogs pics, our wedding pics, & the album I put DH's family members in. I figure she/they have no reason to see my own families pics.
I've also hidden my friend list so that they can't link to my family members or friends or see who I am in touch with.
Easy - don't put the pics up
Easy - don't put the pics up on Facebook...You can block specific people on posts to your wall. I do that sometimes with DH's family.
Just don't put the pics up there if you do not want her to see. I don't personally trust that when you check the box that they can not see what you are putting up some other way.
You can definitely block
You can definitely block people. You can even set up groups in FB and set up your albums so that they can only be viewed by those groups. Go into the album you wish to block, click Edit Album, and click the Privacy button. Here you can select your settings on who may view your pics. Hope that helps! I wouldn't want BM looking at mine either. We don't have anything to hide, but its just none of her business.
