"ex" stepchildren
Does anyone have a spouse that was married before and had SC with their Ex? What kind of relationship do they continue to have? My husband has 2 SD from his last marriage. They are not blood related but has an emotional relationship. One of them (the 29 yr old) seem very jealous of my children and my grandchildren, and that it's not now "all about her"? Everything should be fair, and her children should be treated equal. My DH and I are keeping it all fair! What do I do?

My S.2.B has an 'ex' SD11
My S.2.B has an 'ex' SD11 from his previous marriage and we still see her. When they first divorced SD11 was coming over with SS8. This last May there was a big issue and BM called the police and said we would never see SD11 again. In the past month now SD wants to come over all the time and stay the entire week her brother is with us. We only allow 2 nights, since BM is crazy and we are not sure what will happen so we keep her stays at a minimum.
My husband has an ex SD now
My husband has an ex SD now 14...was 11 when I met her...was 3 when DH and DM met, 6 when they married. DH and ex had 2 more children together. SD comes to our house just as his bio boys do.. .4 days/wk during school...5 in summer. We treat her exactly the same, buy her things, school clothes and supplies etc. BM EXPECTS us to have ex-SD whenever we have the boys. DH has an emotional bond w/her also...she still calls him 'dad' and he refers to her always as his daughter...not even step-daughter. THis was on of the things that I admired about DH when I met him...he didnt just leave her. I have 2 children (their father is deceased) and he treats them all equally. All 5 are 'his kids'. I love that! ex-SD's bio father IS in the picture and had been since my DH and his ex divorced. We have a great relationship with him and his new wife. After 3 years she has decided to go live with her bio dad and started HS there. This has been very hard for all of us. We have no legal rights. We have no say. BUT we totally agree that this is best because she was doing sooooo terribly in school and we couldnt do anything or get any info cuz we have no rights. SO our situation now is that we just see her once in a while...it's been hard on all the other kids and us...we miss her but it's the best thing for her. She referres to me as her 'step-step mom' and my kids are her step-sis and step-brother. She still calls my DH Dad and her bio dad, dad also. Complicated, different but it works...
