Update: SS's "heart condition"

LRP75's picture

Well, SS had an appt with a pediatric cardiologist today. Dr did an Echo and some other tests -- there is NOTHING WRONG with his heart!

Woohoo!!!

Yay!!!

Yes, I actually went to the appt. I wouldn't normally have, because, well, taking the skids to Drs appts doesn't fall into my category of "give a crap." However, I did decide to go with this one. More to support my DH than anything. Again, not that I wanted SS to be sick, or that I wouldn't be sad and scared if there happened to be something wrong with his heart, but, well, you know...

We pulled into the parking lot at the same time BM -- with her husband, their child, SD, and SS -- pulled in. Oh joy, it was a "family" reunion.

I haven't seen BM since... uhhh... probably a year or so. I honestly don't remember the last time I saw her.

Ugg. I feel happy that there is nothing wrong with SS, but *soiled* from having to hang around with BM's husband and their child in the Drs waiting room for TWO hours.

By the time the appt was done and over with, I wanted the hell out of there. Everyone was standing around in the waiting room, staring at one another, the skids climbing all over DH. I said to DH, "ok... let's go."

*motioning for the door*

I had zero desire to sit around there anymore. ALSO, we were going to head out to my dads house afterward to see my brother, whom I haven't seen since Christmas. So, yeah, I was in a hurry. Well then they are all walking slow to through the building to the car. Sheesh. Really? I'm not a slow person anyway. I am always in a hurry. So I just kept walking. On top of my "hurry," I had my school bag with me -- that weighs about 25lbs -- carrying it and having it dig into my shoulders. Yes, again, I was in a hurry. Then, when we got out to the parking lot, I walked to my car to put my bag away because it was so heavy -- BM construed this as I was walking away without saying good-bye. So she yells out, "BYE LRP75!"

Admittedly, the tone of her voice was... "wounded"...

I didn't mean it to seem like I was walking away without saying good-bye, I really did need to put my bag down. It was freaking heavy. On top of that, I had zero desire to stand around, in the 90 degree heat, full sun, in a parking lot, talking to BM and the skids. I was D-O-N-E. I paid my dues.

Anywho, just wanted to update anyone who cared that SS is fine and there is nothing wrong with him.

I am glad he is ok. Two hours in the waiting room with BM. Wow. My husband would be in jail if he had to spend 2 hours in the same room with his ex.

BM was in the treatment room with my DH and SS.

I was in the waiting room with BM's husband, their son (who is one very homely and HUGE child) and SD -- for two hours.

Two hours.

I could only do so much homework, considering that the battery on my laptop died and I forgot to bring my power cord with me. So I was stuck trying to "look" busy.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw BM before today.

OH WAIT!! I remember now!!! I last time I saw BM was when she pulled DH and I into court for a "child support modification" after DH and I got married -- because she thought she could get her hands on MY income. She literally filed the first business day following our wedding. She got spanked in court that day!!! HAHAHAA!! The judge totally tore her a new one and she got turned away HARD. The last time I saw her face -- she was as red as a ripe tomato and holding back tears because she didn't get her way. I felt triumphant and couldn't hide it. }:)

That day was almost 1 year ago. Muahahahaa....

Love that! The last time BM tried for a modification, she had no idea DH had been laid off so she was denied. She was pissed. It had been some time so she thought for sure she would get an increase.
