Always room for one more....
Our house just grew again this week! Many of you know we took in one of the boys' friends back in September when we realized how abusive his situation at home was. Having "Other Son" has been a joy! He has really helped pull us together as a family, and opened our skids eyes to what true "abuse" and poverty is. They realize they don't have it so bad. The world will not end if you don't have name brand shoes and jeans...
Earlier this week, PITA 18s, girlfriend's mother had a major flip out. As a result, her parents kicked her out of the house, and told her not to contact any family members. So she had no place to go but here. What were we supposed to do?
PITA is worried if anyone finds out; he doesn't want to ruin her reputation. "Other Son" moved his stuff back into the basement and gave her the room he had been staying in, and PITA moved out into the garage. He doesn't want anyone to think there is anything inappropriate going on. Bless my son! He is determined to HELP HER keep her virginity!
Loghead took the boys to a job site with him today. The Girlfriend and Gibby and I went to church for Easter. She wanted to go to services, but didn't want to face her family alone. Awkward, to say the least. Her mom didn't even show, and her dad didn't acknowledge me in any way.
I'm a little stressed. It's been Spring Break, and we've all been home, plus the 2 extra friends who are ALWAYS here. But, so far, so good. Just think happy thoughts for this girl- that she can get back with her family soon. And pray I keep my sanity!

That is really admirable.
That is really admirable. You're kind of like everybody's mom. My mom was like that too with our friends when we were younger.
