I Hate Snow Days

I was never meant to be a stay at home mom, no matter how much a complain about going to work after the weekends I'm ready to go back into the adult world. We have no where near the amount of snow Boston has, but we currently have 5.5 inches with another 1.5 inch possibly coming tonight. So that means no school, I am guessing for the rest week. I had to stay home with the kids yesterday and that was after caring for them all weekend because DH is on 2nd shift. Now we have it worked out that I will work from 7 am to 1 pm, and then he will go to work. I want the snow to go away so that I can have my normal crazy schedule, this is screwing with my OCD...ugh.

Another issue which is laughable. BM called last night to talk to the kids and asked them if they got to play in the snow (answer was yes) and then asked them if I took them out in the car in this (which I didn't because I had no reason to leave the answer) then she said well that's good because the roads are horrible (my dear I know how to drive and in snow and have no problems to do so). Then made a comment about what they were going to do last night, maybe I can make some popcorn and we could all stay up late and watch movie, hold your freakin horses BM I have to get up at 5 am so that I can got to a place called work. We will be going to be at normal scheduled time. Then BM told the kids, well you better listen to SM and go to bed on time because she has to work in the morning. Really I don't need you to be a phone mom, I got this, hell I have had this for almost a year. Thanks but no thanks for your help...lol

Well it sounds like her vocabulary has expanded with them. Lol.

Don't you just love how she acts like she's the one they're listening to when they already know how things work in your home? We, sometimes, get that too.

How often does she call them now?

Oh wow, I don't know about there but here no side streets get cleaned and most people are just stupid...lol

Exact Same here but no school cancellations, not even delays and our district is mostly rural or farm. They didn't get the last two holidays off that most schools take off and they got off previous years. Our school is doing so many things different this year.

I'm in southern Indiana and we hardly get the main roads cleared off good. This is the first snow for this winter season. There was a few people that actual called in yesterday because they were to scared to drive...lol
